Fenerbahçe Tarfin produced a commanding road performance in the Basketbol Super Ligi, defeating Pinar Karsiyaka 97-72 on October 25, 2026. The visitors set the tone early, controlled the middle quarters and never allowed the home side to build sustained momentum in front of its own crowd.

Match overview

Fenerbahçe opened with purpose at both ends, moving the ball quickly and forcing Karsiyaka into contested shots. The first quarter finished 22-18 in favour of the visitors, and the gap widened sharply before halftime. A 27-16 second period gave Fenerbahçe a 49-34 lead at the break, turning the game into an uphill battle for the hosts.

The third quarter was equally decisive. Fenerbahçe added 25 points while holding Karsiyaka to 20, extending the advantage to 74-54 entering the final period. Although Karsiyaka found a little more rhythm late, the result was already settled, and Fenerbahçe closed out a 97-72 victory.

Key moments

The defining stretch came late in the first half. With Karsiyaka within striking distance, Fenerbahçe went on a sustained run built on defensive stops and quick transition baskets. That surge not only changed the scoreboard but also forced the home side into a more hurried offensive approach.

Early in the third quarter, Fenerbahçe delivered another blow. A series of successful possessions stretched the lead beyond 20 points and silenced the home crowd. Karsiyaka tried to respond with inside scoring and perimeter shooting, but the visitors consistently answered at the other end.

Tactical story

Fenerbahçe’s half-court defence was the foundation of the win. The visitors crowded the paint, rotated well on the perimeter and limited second-chance opportunities. Offensively, they played with patience, using ball movement to create open looks rather than relying on isolated plays.

Karsiyaka, by contrast, struggled to string together clean possessions. The hosts had useful moments in the paint, but turnovers and missed outside shots prevented them from building any real pressure. Fenerbahçe’s bench also contributed meaningful minutes, maintaining the intensity when the starters rested.

Standout performers

Fenerbahçe’s backcourt controlled the tempo and consistently found the right pass in transition. The frontcourt added physicality on the boards and finished well around the rim. For Karsiyaka, the effort remained visible until the final buzzer, but the team lacked the balanced scoring needed to match one of the league’s strongest sides.

Season impact

The win strengthens Fenerbahçe Tarfin’s position in the Basketbol Super Ligi standings and serves notice of its title credentials. For Pinar Karsiyaka, the 25-point defeat is a difficult result, but the schedule offers little time for reflection. The club will need a sharper defensive performance and better shot selection in its next outing.

As a match report, the final score tells a simple story: Fenerbahçe was more efficient, more composed and far more consistent across four quarters. The 97-72 result reflects that gap and adds another important road win to the visitors’ season.
