Bursaspor delivered one of the more impressive road performances of the early Basketbol Super Ligi season on October 13, 2026, defeating Galatasaray MCT Technic 93-88. In a game that featured 11 lead changes and little separation until the final five minutes, Bursaspor’s backcourt execution and late-game poise proved decisive. The visitors improved their position in the standings while handing Galatasaray MCT Technic a frustrating home result.

Galatasaray MCT Technic came into the contest looking to control the tempo through its half-court offense, but Bursaspor refused to let the home side settle. The visitors pushed the pace whenever possible, attacked closeouts, and generated clean looks from beyond the arc. The final scoreline reflected the balance of the game: neither team shot poorly, but Bursaspor made the more timely plays in the fourth quarter.

Match Overview

The opening quarter set the tone for a high-scoring night. Bursaspor scored 27 points in the first period, but Galatasaray MCT Technic answered with 24 of its own. The second quarter slowed slightly, with both defenses adjusting, and the teams went into halftime separated by just two points. Galatasaray MCT Technic’s offense was at its best when the ball moved inside-out, creating open catch-and-shoot opportunities. Bursaspor, however, matched that efficiency and added an extra layer of transition scoring. The visitors’ ability to score after defensive rebounds kept the pressure on the home side all night.

Key Moments

The decisive stretch arrived midway through the fourth quarter. With the score tied, Bursaspor reeled off an 8-0 run built on a corner three, a fast-break layup, and two free throws after an offensive rebound. Galatasaray MCT Technic responded with a quick 5-0 burst of its own, but Bursaspor’s half-court defense forced two critical empty possessions in the final two minutes.

A contested step-back jumper from the Bursaspor wing pushed the lead to five with under a minute remaining, and the visitors sealed the game at the free-throw line. Galatasaray MCT Technic had one last chance to cut the deficit to two, but a rushed three-pointer rimmed out, allowing Bursaspor to close out the 93-88 victory.

Standout Performers

Bursaspor’s starting guard was the game’s most consistent offensive threat, finishing with a team-high 24 points and six assists. He repeatedly broke down Galatasaray’s defense in pick-and-roll situations and made smart decisions when the help defense arrived. Bursaspor’s center added a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds, including four offensive boards that led to second-chance points.

For Galatasaray MCT Technic, the veteran forward led the way with 22 points and eight rebounds, while the starting point guard contributed 17 points and nine assists. The home side also received solid minutes from its bench, but costly turnovers in the fourth quarter undermined an otherwise efficient offensive night.

Season Impact

The win gives Bursaspor valuable momentum in the Basketbol Super Ligi standings and reinforces their ability to win on the road against playoff-caliber opposition. For Galatasaray MCT Technic, the loss is a missed opportunity to protect home court, though the performance showed enough offensive firepower to suggest they will remain competitive in the upper half of the table. Both teams now turn their attention to the next round, where consistency on defense will be the key storyline.
