Key moments

Besiktas tied the game at 94 with just over a minute remaining after a tough contested jumper, setting up a tense finish. Bahcesehir responded with a well-executed pick-and-roll that produced a layup and a foul. After the free throw, Besiktas missed a three-pointer on the ensuing possession, and Bahcesehir iced the game with two clutch free throws. The final seconds were frantic, but Bahcesehir’s discipline on both ends held firm.

The fourth quarter featured several momentum swings. Bahcesehir built a six-point lead early in the period, only for Besiktas to answer with an 8-2 run. The hosts then regained control behind a pair of timely offensive rebounds and a transition dunk that electrified the home crowd. Every possession felt magnified, and both teams traded big shots down the stretch.

Tactical story

Bahcesehir’s offense was at its best when the ball moved quickly from side to side. They generated open looks by forcing Besiktas to rotate defensively, and their guards did an excellent job of probing the paint before kicking out to shooters. Besiktas, meanwhile, leaned on their isolation scorers and pick-and-roll attack, which kept them in the game but sometimes slowed their offensive flow.

Defensively, neither team was able to dominate. Bahcesehir struggled at times to contain Besiktas’ dribble penetration, while Besiktas had no answer for Bahcesehir’s offensive rebounding in key moments. The game ultimately came down to execution under pressure, and Bahcesehir made the cleaner plays in the final 60 seconds.

Standout performers

• Kerem Yilmaz (Bahcesehir): 27 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds
• Emir Aydin (Bahcesehir): 24 points, 9 rebounds
• Marcus Foster (Bahcesehir): 18 points, 4 three-pointers
• Deniz Kaya (Besiktas): 26 points, 7 assists
• Mert Demir (Besiktas): 21 points, 8 rebounds

Yilmaz was the engine for Bahcesehir, scoring from deep and creating opportunities for his teammates in equal measure. Aydin dominated the interior and came up with several crucial rebounds in the fourth quarter. Foster’s outside shooting gave Bahcesehir another dimension. For Besiktas, Kaya was brilliant in defeat, repeatedly breaking down the defense, while Demir provided a strong inside presence. The visitors simply ran out of answers in the final minute.

Season impact

The win is a significant confidence boost for Bahcesehir Koleji in the Basketbol Super Ligi and gives them bragging rights in a fiercely contested matchup. It also highlights their ability to win high-scoring games when defense is secondary and execution becomes paramount. Besiktas leave with a narrow loss but can take pride in their fight; they will need to tighten their late-game defense and limit second-chance points if they are to turn close defeats into victories. In a league defined by fine margins, this was a reminder that composure at the free-throw line can decide everything.
