Akhisar Belediye produced a composed road performance to defeat Corum Belediyesi 76-70 in the Turkiye Basketbol 2. Ligi, using a strong third quarter and timely fourth-period execution to secure an important away victory. The result highlights Akhisar’s ability to manage close games and adds momentum to their league campaign.

Match Overview

The contest was tightly contested from the opening minutes, with both teams trading baskets and neither side able to establish a lasting lead early on. Corum Belediyesi enjoyed spells of control in front of their home support, but Akhisar Belediye stayed patient, kept the game within reach, and gradually imposed their rhythm as the match progressed.

The final score of 76-70 reflects a game decided by small margins: defensive stops, free-throw execution, and the ability to score when the possession mattered most. Akhisar’s road win was not built on a single dominant run alone, but on their consistency across the second half, particularly when Corum looked poised to seize control.

Key Moments

The third quarter proved decisive. Akhisar Belediye came out of halftime with greater urgency, moving the ball more sharply and attacking Corum’s defense from multiple angles. A sequence of efficient offensive possessions allowed the visitors to edge ahead, and they managed the lead intelligently from that point onward.

• Akhisar’s ball movement created open looks during the third-quarter surge that shifted the momentum.
• Corum Belediyesi stayed within striking distance but struggled to string together consecutive defensive stops.
• In the final minutes, Akhisar converted key free throws and limited Corum’s clean looks to protect the win.

Tactical Story

Akhisar Belediye’s offense was at its best when the ball entered the paint and then kicked out to shooters. That inside-out approach stretched Corum’s defense and created driving lanes for the guards. The visitors also benefited from timely offensive rebounding, which extended possessions and forced Corum to defend for longer stretches.

Corum Belediyesi had their moments, particularly when they played with pace and attacked early in the shot clock. Their home crowd helped generate energy, and the team produced enough scoring bursts to remain competitive. However, Akhisar’s half-court discipline and ability to slow the game down in the fourth quarter proved crucial. Corum were forced into tougher shots late, and Akhisar’s defensive rotations held up under pressure.

Standout Performers

Akhisar’s balanced scoring was a major factor in the win. With multiple players contributing in double figures and role players hitting timely shots, the visitors were difficult to contain. Their backcourt managed the tempo well, while the frontcourt battled on the glass and provided physical resistance around the rim.

For Corum Belediyesi, the performance included encouraging signs. The team competed hard, moved the ball well in phases, and showed the ability to score against a organized defense. The difference was execution in the closing minutes, where Akhisar made the extra play and Corum could not quite match that efficiency.

Season Impact

The 76-70 road win is a meaningful result for Akhisar Belediye in the Turkiye Basketbol 2. Ligi standings. Away victories are often hard to come by in a competitive league, and this performance will give the team confidence in both its defensive structure and its ability to close out tight games.

Corum Belediyesi will view the loss as a missed opportunity at home, but the narrow margin suggests they remain capable of competing against strong opposition. Improving late-game execution and reducing turnovers in key moments will be a focus as the season continues. The head-to-head result also gives Akhisar Belediye a useful advantage should the teams meet again later in the campaign.

In the end, Akhisar Belediye’s 76-70 victory was earned through patience, balanced scoring, and poise down the stretch — a road win that could prove valuable as the Turkiye Basketbol 2. Ligi season unfolds.
