Antalya Genclik Spor powered past Tesvikiye 87-57 in the Türkiye Basketbol 2. Ligi on October 24, 2026, using a fast start and a dominant second-quarter run to take full control of the contest.

The hosts led 45-27 at halftime and never allowed Tesvikiye to close the gap in the second half. Antalya's transition offense and three-point shooting proved too much for a Tesvikiye side that struggled to protect the ball and contain dribble penetration.

Match overview

Antalya opened with a 24-14 first quarter, then tightened the defense in the second to outscore Tesvikiye 21-13 and take a 45-27 lead into the break. The third quarter was more of the same: Antalya added a 22-15 edge to make it 67-42, and the final period was played with the result already secure.

The quarter scores of 24-14, 21-13, 22-15 and 20-15 reflected Antalya's consistent control. Tesvikiye had brief scoring bursts but could not string together enough stops to threaten the home side.

Key moments

• Antalya opened with an 11-2 run and forced Tesvikiye into three turnovers in the first four minutes.
• A 10-0 burst midway through the second quarter extended the lead to 39-20.
• Antalya opened the third with a 9-3 run, pushing the advantage to 24 and ending any doubt.
• The hosts' bench maintained the tempo in the fourth, closing with a 7-0 run in the final two minutes.

Tactical story

Antalya's offense was built on pace. They pushed the ball after every defensive rebound, attacked before Tesvikiye could set its half-court defense and generated open corner threes when the visitors collapsed into the paint. The hosts also moved the ball unselfishly, finishing with a high number of assists.

Defensively, Antalya pressured the ball handler, jumped passing lanes and forced Tesvikiye into rushed shots. The visitors had some success inside early, but Antalya adjusted by doubling the post and rotating out to shooters. Tesvikiye's turnover problems prevented them from building any sustained momentum.

Standout players

Berkay Ozturk led Antalya with 23 points, including four three-pointers, and added five assists. Umut Kaya scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while Efe Demir contributed 14 points and six rebounds off the bench.

Tesvikiye were led by Cenk Aydin with 14 points, but the visitors lacked the balanced attack needed to keep pace.

Season impact

The victory boosts Antalya Genclik Spor's position in the Türkiye Basketbol 2. Ligi standings and reinforces their ability to win comfortably at home. Their pace and depth make them a difficult matchup, especially when the three-point shot is falling.

Tesvikiye will need to improve their ball security and transition defense before their next game. The 30-point margin shows there is work to do, but the season remains long enough for a response.
