Key moments

Tactical story

Both teams defended well in the half-court, making clean looks difficult to come by. Bären Kleinbasel’s edge came on the boards and in transition, where they scored just enough easy baskets to offset a cold shooting stretch. Alte Kanti Aarau moved the ball effectively but settled for tough jumpers in the final minutes, and the hosts’ poise in late-game situations made the difference.

Standout performers

Bären Kleinbasel’s backcourt handled pressure well and made smart decisions down the stretch. The interior defense also played a major role, contesting shots without fouling and limiting second-chance opportunities. For Alte Kanti Aarau, the effort was there, but costly turnovers in the fourth quarter prevented a late road comeback.

Season impact

This is an important home win in the Switzerland NLB, especially in a game that could have gone either way. Close victories build confidence, and Bären Kleinbasel will value the defensive resolve shown in the final minutes. Alte Kanti Aarau leaves with a narrow loss but can take encouragement from competing to the final buzzer.
