The pattern of the game was set early. Boncourt opened with a 9–2 run, forced Lavaux Riviera into difficult shots, and never trailed after the opening minutes. Their lead hovered between six and twelve points for the remainder of the contest, and each time the visitors threatened to close the gap, the hosts found an answer at the offensive end.

Key Moments

Lavaux Riviera's best opportunity came early in the third quarter, when a pair of three-pointers trimmed the deficit to five. Boncourt responded with a 10–2 run over the next three minutes, capped by a fast-break dunk that brought the home crowd to its feet and effectively ended the visitors' comeback hopes.

The fourth quarter was managed expertly by the hosts, who slowed the tempo, protected the ball, and ran the shot clock down on nearly every possession. Lavaux Riviera were forced into hurried shots and never got the deficit back into single digits in the final five minutes.

Tactical Story

Boncourt's success was rooted in defensive discipline. They closed out hard on the perimeter, limited second-chance points with strong box-outs, and consistently forced Lavaux Riviera into long, contested jumpers late in the shot clock. On offence, the hosts shared the ball well, generating assists on the majority of their made field goals and finding mismatches inside.

Union Lavaux Riviera Basket, representing the Lavaux and Riviera region, competed hard on the boards but struggled with turnovers in transition moments. Their half-court offence lacked the penetration needed to break down Boncourt's compact defence, and their outside shooting cooled noticeably after a promising opening period.

Standout Players

• Théo Marchand (Boncourt): 19 points and 6 rebounds, leading all scorers with efficient shooting from the field.
• Nolan Beuchat (Boncourt): 14 points, 8 assists and 3 steals — the engine of the home team's offence.
• Lucas Girardin (Boncourt): 12 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double in the paint.
• Mael Dupraz (Lavaux Riviera): 17 points, the visitors' most consistent offensive threat.
• Julien Rochat (Lavaux Riviera): 11 points and 7 rebounds in a battling display.

Table and Season Impact

The victory is a meaningful one for BC Boncourt in the NLB standings. As a club with a proud history in Swiss basketball, Boncourt are determined to be in the promotion conversation, and winning home games by double digits is exactly the foundation required over a long second-division season.

For Union Lavaux Riviera Basket, the loss highlights the fine margins in the NLB: their effort and rebounding were competitive, but efficiency in the half court remains the missing piece. Both teams will take lessons from this encounter as they continue their campaigns, with Boncourt looking to build momentum and Lavaux Riviera aiming to convert their promising stretches into full four-quarter performances.
