Alvik BBK Women secured an 81-67 road win over Sodertalje Women in Svenska Basketligan Dam play on 24 October 2026, using a balanced offensive effort and a strong closing stretch to take control. Alvik led for much of the contest and gradually stretched its advantage after halftime, denying Sodertalje the runs needed to turn the game into a close finish.

Match overview

Sodertalje opened with energy and attacked the paint early, but Alvik’s defensive adjustments and patient half-court offense soon shifted the momentum. The visitors moved the ball well, found open shooters on the perimeter, and forced Sodertalje into difficult contested shots. The game remained competitive into the third quarter before Alvik pulled away.

Quarter-by-quarter scoring

• First quarter: Sodertalje 18, Alvik 24
• Second quarter: Sodertalje 15, Alvik 19
• Third quarter: Sodertalje 17, Alvik 18
• Fourth quarter: Sodertalje 17, Alvik 20

Key moments

Alvik’s most important run came late in the third quarter, when a 10-2 burst extended a single-digit lead into a more comfortable margin. Sodertalje tried to respond with pressure defense and quick three-point attempts, but Alvik handled the moments well, drawing fouls and converting at the free-throw line.

The fourth quarter belonged to Alvik’s composure. The visitors slowed the pace, protected the ball, and consistently found the extra pass against Sodertalje’s rotating defense. Sodertalje’s offense showed flashes, especially through its post players, but the team could not string together enough stops to mount a serious comeback.

Standout performers

Alvik’s guards controlled the flow of the game, combining for timely baskets and steady playmaking. The team’s forwards also made a significant impact on the boards, limiting Sodertalje’s second-chance opportunities. For Sodertalje, the interior scoring and rebounding effort kept the home side within reach for long periods, but the perimeter shooting was too inconsistent.

Season impact

The win strengthens Alvik BBK Women’s position in the Svenska Basketligan Dam standings and gives the team a useful road result early in the campaign. Sodertalje Women will look to correct their half-court execution and defensive rebounding before their next outing, as both areas proved costly in this defeat.
