Lulea Women Demolish Visby Women 105-74 in Offensive Masterclass

Lulea Women produced a stunning offensive display on October 4, 2026, thrashing Visby Women 105-74 in the Svenska Basketligan Dam. The 31-point blowout was a statement of intent from the league's most dominant team, who reached the century mark with ease and never allowed their opponents a glimmer of hope.

Match Overview

Lulea came out firing on all cylinders, racing to a 30-18 lead after the first quarter. The second period was slightly more competitive, but Lulea still won it 25-22 to take a 55-40 halftime advantage. The third quarter effectively ended any doubt, as Lulea exploded for 28 points while holding Visby to just 16. Heading into the final period with a 27-point lead, Lulea cruised to the finish, adding 22 more points to their tally in a 105-74 rout.

Key Moments

The game was decided in the opening minutes. Lulea opened with a 12-0 run, forcing Visby to call a timeout less than three minutes into the first quarter. The barrage included three consecutive three-pointers, setting the tone for a night where Lulea shot the lights out. Midway through the second quarter, Visby managed to cut the lead to 12 (45-33), but Lulea responded with a 10-2 run to restore a comfortable cushion before halftime.

Tactical Story

Lulea's game plan was simple: run, shoot, and pressure. They played at a frenetic pace, pushing the ball after every make or miss and launching quick three-pointers in transition. The result was a team-record 15 made three-pointers on 34 attempts. Defensively, they hounded Visby into 20 turnovers, many of which led to easy fast-break points. Lulea also dominated the boards, out-rebounding Visby 42-28, with 14 offensive rebounds leading to second-chance opportunities.

Visby had no answer for Lulea's speed. They tried to slow the game down with a zone defense, but Lulea's ball movement and perimeter shooting shredded it. Visby's own offense was inefficient, shooting just 38% from the field and committing numerous unforced errors.

Standout Players

• Lulea's shooting guard was unstoppable, scoring 28 points, including six three-pointers, on 10-of-15 shooting.
• Lulea's point guard dished out 15 assists while adding 12 points, controlling the tempo perfectly.
• Lulea's center dominated inside with 18 points and 11 rebounds, giving her team a physical presence.
• Visby's center was a lone bright spot with 18 points and 8 rebounds, but she received little help.

Season Impact

This win solidifies Lulea Women's position at the top of the Svenska Basketligan Dam standings. Their 105-point outburst is a warning to the rest of the league that they are the team to beat. For Visby, the loss is a harsh reality check, but they will look to learn from it and improve their defensive rotations. Lulea's next opponents will need to find a way to slow down their high-octane offense, or they risk suffering a similar fate.
