Key Moments

The final minute provided the drama. With the score tied, Jaen CB ran a pick-and-roll that produced a layup and a foul. After Caceres missed a contested three at the other end, Jaen iced the game at the line.

• Jaen’s guard hit a step-back jumper to break a 78-78 tie with 1:20 remaining.
• Caceres had a chance to take the lead, but Jaen’s help defense forced a turnover.
• Two clutch free throws with 8 seconds left gave Jaen a three-point cushion, and Caceres could only answer with a late basket.

Tactical Story

Jaen CB’s offense relied on ball screens and penetration, which allowed them to attack Caceres’s interior defense. The home side also moved the ball well against the zone, creating open looks from the perimeter. Defensively, Jaen forced key turnovers late and limited Caceres’s clean looks in the final two minutes.

Caceres controlled the paint for long stretches and stayed in the game through second-chance points. However, they struggled with turnovers in crucial moments and were unable to get a final clean look at a game-tying three-pointer.

Standout Performers

Jaen CB guard Javier Molina led the team with 22 points and six assists, hitting several tough shots in the fourth quarter. Forward Alvaro Ruiz added 17 points and nine rebounds, while center Marcos Serrano contributed 13 points and 10 rebounds.

For Caceres, center Pablo Moreno scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, while guard Sergio Vidal added 16 points. Their production kept Caceres close, but Jaen’s late execution made the difference.

Season Impact

The win boosts Jaen CB in the Spain Segunda FEB table and gives them confidence in close games. Caceres leave with a narrow loss but will take encouragement from their road performance, though they will need to tighten their late-game decision-making.
