CB Sant Antoni delivered a powerful road performance in Spain’s Segunda FEB, defeating CE Bisbal Basquet 88-64. The visitors controlled the game from the opening quarter, combining aggressive defense with efficient offense to secure a convincing 24-point win.

Sant Antoni seizes control early

CB Sant Antoni came out with high energy, pressing the ball-handlers and forcing early turnovers. An 11-0 run in the first five minutes stunned the home crowd and set the tone for the evening. Bisbal never led after that point, and Sant Antoni finished the first quarter ahead 24-15.

The second quarter followed a similar pattern. Sant Antoni’s ball movement created open shots, while their defensive rotations limited Bisbal’s driving lanes. The visitors took a 45-32 lead into halftime, and the game already felt firmly in their grasp.

Quarter-by-quarter score

• First quarter: CE Bisbal Basquet 15-24 CB Sant Antoni
• Second quarter: 17-21
• Third quarter: 16-22
• Fourth quarter: 16-21
• Final score: 64-88

Key moments and turning points

If there was any chance of a Bisbal comeback, Sant Antoni erased it early in the third quarter. A 15-4 run in the first six minutes of the second half pushed the lead to 60-36. The visitors were relentless in transition, turning defensive rebounds into quick baskets and forcing Bisbal into hurried shots at the other end.

Bisbal showed brief signs of life with a 7-0 run late in the third quarter, but Sant Antoni answered immediately with back-to-back three-pointers. The final quarter was played at a slower pace, but the outcome was never in doubt. Sant Antoni’s bench maintained the intensity, preserving the large margin until the final buzzer.

Standout performers and tactical story

Sant Antoni’s defensive pressure was the foundation of the win. They disrupted Bisbal’s pick-and-roll actions, forced contested mid-range shots, and controlled the defensive glass. Offensively, they shared the ball exceptionally well, finishing with a high assist count and several players in double figures.

Bisbal struggled to find rhythm against Sant Antoni’s length and physicality. Their guards were often forced into difficult shots, and their big men had trouble finishing against help defense. The home side also gave up too many second-chance points, which allowed Sant Antoni to maintain separation even when Bisbal’s offense briefly clicked.

What the result means

For CB Sant Antoni, this is a statement road victory in the Segunda FEB and a significant boost to their standings and point differential. For CE Bisbal Basquet, it is a tough home defeat that highlights areas to address, particularly on defense and rebounding. They will need a quick response in their next fixture to avoid losing ground in a competitive league.
