CB Prat Joventut earned a convincing 81-63 road victory over CB Clavijo in Spain Segunda FEB on Sunday, October 4, 2026. The visitors controlled the game from the second quarter onward, using stifling defense and efficient outside shooting to pull away for a comfortable win.

The result gives Prat an important early-season road victory in the Spanish third tier, while CB Clavijo are left to examine a difficult offensive night. Prat’s balanced scoring and defensive discipline were on full display, and they never allowed Clavijo to build sustained momentum.

Match Overview

CB Prat Joventut started quickly, taking a 22-16 lead after the first quarter. They extended the advantage in the second period, outscoring Clavijo 20-15 to take a 42-31 halftime lead. The third quarter was more of the same: Prat added 19 points while holding Clavijo to 14, pushing the lead to 61-45. The final period was evenly played, but Prat maintained control and closed out the 81-63 victory.

Prat’s defense was the story of the game. They contested every shot, rotated sharply on pick-and-rolls, and forced Clavijo into a number of low-percentage attempts. On offense, Prat moved the ball with purpose, finding open shooters and attacking closeouts when Clavijo overextended.

Key Moments

• First-quarter shooting: Prat hit three early three-pointers, forcing Clavijo to adjust its defensive coverages.
• Second-quarter run: A 10-2 surge midway through the second period turned a six-point lead into a 14-point cushion.
• Third-quarter knockout: Prat opened the second half with an 8-0 run, holding Clavijo scoreless for over three minutes.
• Fourth-quarter composure: Clavijo trimmed the deficit to 12, but Prat responded with a 7-0 spurt to seal the game.

Tactical Story

CB Prat Joventut’s defensive strategy was built on ball pressure and help-side rotations. They forced Clavijo’s guards into difficult passes and contested jumpers, then capitalized with transition baskets. Their rebounding effort was also excellent, limiting Clavijo’s second-chance opportunities and allowing Prat to control the tempo.

Offensively, Prat played with patience. They used ball screens to create mismatches, attacked the paint when Clavijo switched, and kicked out to shooters when the defense collapsed. That inside-out approach produced a balanced scoring attack, with multiple players contributing in double figures.

Clavijo struggled to find offensive consistency. Their half-court sets often ended in isolation attempts, and they shot poorly from beyond the arc. Fouling also hurt them, as Prat repeatedly got to the free-throw line and converted enough attempts to keep the lead safe.

Standout Performers

Prat’s point guard was the engine of the offense, finishing with 18 points and six assists. He controlled the pace and made smart decisions against Clavijo’s pressure. Their forward added 15 points and nine rebounds, while a reserve shooting guard contributed 13 points off the bench, including three three-pointers.

For CB Clavijo, their power forward led the team with 16 points and eight rebounds, battling hard in the paint. Their shooting guard added 12 points but shot just 4-of-13 from the field. The Clavijo bench managed only 15 points, and their inability to match Prat’s depth was a key factor in the loss.

Segunda FEB Standings Impact

Road wins are always valuable in Segunda FEB, and this 81-63 result gives CB Prat Joventut early momentum in the standings. It also provides a confidence boost as they continue to build chemistry and define their rotation. For CB Clavijo, the focus will be on improving offensive execution and defending without fouling.

Prat’s performance showed why they are considered a tough opponent in the league: they defend, share the ball, and execute in key moments. Clavijo will look to bounce back in their next home game and use this loss as a learning experience. The Segunda FEB season is long, and both teams will have opportunities to shape their campaigns in the coming weeks.
