Key moments

The opening ten minutes were crucial. Sant Antoni’s quick ball movement and aggressive drives created good looks, while Castello struggled to find rhythm against a compact defense. By the end of the first quarter, the visitors had established a lead they would never surrender.

Castello’s best opportunity to respond came in the second quarter, when they briefly increased the tempo and found some success in transition. However, Sant Antoni answered with composed possessions and went into halftime with a comfortable advantage. A strong start to the third quarter removed any lingering doubt about the direction of the game.

Tactical story

Sant Antoni’s defensive activity was the foundation of the win. They contested shots, forced Castello into difficult decisions and limited easy second-chance points. On offense, the visitors shared the ball well and punished Castello whenever the defense overcommitted to the interior.

Castello’s half-court attack was too inconsistent to sustain a serious challenge. The home side had productive spells, particularly when they played with pace, but Sant Antoni’s ability to slow the game down and execute in the half-court proved decisive.

Standout performers

Sant Antoni received strong contributions from their backcourt, which controlled the pace and knocked down important shots at the end of quarters. The frontcourt also played a key role on the boards, giving the team extra possessions and making Castello work hard for every rebound.

Castello’s leading contributors fought hard, but the home side lacked the collective efficiency needed to close the gap. Their second-half effort was commendable, yet Sant Antoni always had an answer.

What the result means

This is a statement road win for CB Sant Antoni in the Segunda FEB and a result that should strengthen their position in the standings. Winning by 18 points away from home is a clear sign of the team’s quality and depth.
