In a competition where single games can define a season, the win was as much about composure as execution. Jezica pushed the hosts to the limit, but Grosuplje found enough answers late to survive.

Turning Points

Grosuplje’s half-court defense was the foundation of the win. They limited easy baskets inside and made Jezica work for every point. Offensively, the hosts were balanced, with contributions from both the perimeter and the paint. That variety kept Jezica from keying in on a single scorer.

Cup Implications and What’s Next

For Grosuplje, the victory means progress in the Slovenia Basketball Cup and a confidence boost ahead of upcoming league commitments. Cup runs can energize a squad, and this narrow win will give the players belief that they can compete in knockout basketball.

Jezica will be disappointed to exit in such a close contest, but their performance showed they can challenge strong opposition. They will now turn their attention to the domestic league, where consistency will be key. Grosuplje, meanwhile, can enjoy the win before preparing for the next round of cup action and the challenges that come with it.
