Vicenza suffered a heavy 52-79 defeat at home to Bk2018 Ferrara in Serie B Basket on 12 October 2026. The visitors dominated from the opening quarter and never allowed Vicenza to find any offensive rhythm, running out comfortable winners in one of the most one-sided results of the round.

Match Overview

Ferrara scored efficiently from the first possession and built a double-digit lead before the end of the opening quarter. Vicenza's shooting struggles compounded their problems, and the visitors' control of the glass and the tempo turned the contest into a procession well before the final buzzer.

• Q1: Vicenza 12-24 Ferrara
• Q2: Vicenza 15-18 Ferrara
• Q3: Vicenza 13-19 Ferrara
• Q4: Vicenza 12-18 Ferrara
• Final: Vicenza 52-79 Ferrara

Key Moments

Any realistic hope of a Vicenza comeback disappeared in a brutal opening eight minutes, when Ferrara raced into a 16-4 lead behind aggressive drives and accurate shooting. The hosts briefly steadied in the second quarter but could not string together consecutive scoring possessions. A 9-0 Ferrara run early in the third quarter pushed the margin past 20 points and effectively ended the game as a contest.

Tactical Story

Ferrara's defensive pressure was relentless, denying Vicenza clean entry passes and forcing hurried shots late in the clock. Their full-court pressure generated turnovers early, and their half-court defence kept the hosts on the perimeter without quality looks. On offence, Ferrara shared the ball well, punishing Vicenza's help defence with quick reversals and open corner threes. Vicenza's inability to score inside meant the visitors could extend their defence with confidence, tightening the squeeze as the game progressed.

Standout Players

Ferrara's backcourt set the tone with energy at both ends, while their interior players controlled the rebounding battle and finished efficiently in the paint. The bench contributed meaningful minutes without any drop in intensity. For Vicenza, it was a night of frustration: individual effort was evident, but collective execution broke down repeatedly against a defence that gave nothing away.

Standings and Season Impact

A 27-point road win is a significant statement in Serie B Basket, boosting Ferrara's points differential and confidence ahead of a demanding stretch of fixtures. Vicenza must regroup quickly, with the coaching staff likely to prioritise ball security and half-court shot quality after a performance that left little room for encouragement.
