Siaz Basket delivered a commanding 77-65 home victory over Bk2018 Ferrara on Sunday, October 26, 2026, in Serie B Basket. A dominant second-quarter run broke the game open, and Siaz never looked back, cruising to a comfortable win. The result improves Siaz’s home record and leaves Ferrara searching for answers after a third straight road defeat.

Match Overview

The first quarter was competitive, with both teams feeling each other out. Siaz held a slim 18-15 lead after ten minutes, thanks to a balanced scoring attack. The second quarter is where the game turned: Siaz opened with a 12-0 run over the first four minutes, fueled by back-to-back three-pointers from Davide Rizzo and a pair of fast-break layups. Ferrara called timeout but could not stop the bleeding, and Siaz took a 40-29 lead into halftime. The second half was more of the same, with Siaz maintaining a double-digit cushion and never allowing Ferrara to get closer than nine points.

Key Moments

The decisive stretch came midway through the second quarter. With Siaz leading 20-17, Rizzo stole the ball at midcourt and converted a layup, sparking an 8-0 run in under a minute. Ferrara turned the ball over on three consecutive possessions, and Siaz capitalized each time, pushing the lead to 32-17. Ferrara’s best player, Andrea Bianchi, tried to keep his team afloat with 10 second-quarter points, but the defensive intensity from Siaz was overwhelming. The third quarter saw Siaz extend the lead to 20 points before coasting to the final buzzer.

Tactical Story

Siaz dominated the paint, outscoring Ferrara 44-28 in the key and outrebounding them 40-30. Their ball movement was excellent, recording 22 assists on 30 made field goals. Ferrara, on the other hand, settled for too many contested jumpers and shot just 38% from the field. Siaz’s head coach employed a 2-3 zone in the second half that confused Ferrara’s guards, leading to 17 turnovers. The home team also shot a scorching 9-of-18 from three-point range, while Ferrara managed only 5-of-20 from beyond the arc.

Standout Performers

• Davide Rizzo (Siaz Basket): 19 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals—a complete all-around game.
• Lorenzo Bassi (Siaz Basket): 16 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks, anchoring the interior defense.
• Andrea Bianchi (Ferrara): 16 points, 5 rebounds, but 5 turnovers and 5-of-15 shooting.
• Marco Pellegrini (Ferrara): 12 points, 8 rebounds, one of the few bright spots for the visitors.

Season Impact

The win gives Siaz Basket a valuable home victory and keeps them in the playoff picture early in the Serie B Basket season. Their balance on both ends of the floor is a promising sign. Bk2018 Ferrara, meanwhile, falls further behind and needs to fix their road woes. Turnovers and poor shooting have been recurring issues, and unless they improve quickly, the season could slip away. Ferrara will look to regroup in their next home game, while Siaz will aim to carry this momentum forward.
