San Giobbe Chiusi put on an offensive clinic on Sunday, October 26, 2026, dismantling Dany Basket Quarrata 93-66 in Serie B Basket. The home team exploded for 28 points in the first quarter and never looked back, leading by as many as 32 points in the second half. The blowout win signals Chiusi’s intentions this season, while Quarrata’s defensive flaws were exposed in brutal fashion.

Match Overview

The game was effectively over after the first ten minutes. Chiusi came out firing on all cylinders, hitting their first six three-point attempts and racing to a 28-15 lead. Quarrata had no answer for Chiusi’s ball movement, which carved up their zone defense for easy looks. The second quarter was more competitive, but Chiusi still won it 22-18 to take a 50-33 halftime lead. The third quarter saw Chiusi pour in another 25 points, extending the lead to 75-49, and the fourth quarter was garbage time as both teams emptied their benches.

Key Moments

The opening six minutes set the tone. Chiusi’s Marco Bellucci hit three three-pointers in the first four minutes, forcing Quarrata into an early timeout. Out of the timeout, Chiusi’s full-court press generated two quick steals, leading to easy layups and a 16-0 run that put the game out of reach before the end of the first quarter. Quarrata’s offense was stagnant, relying on isolation plays that resulted in contested shots. By halftime, Chiusi had assisted on 15 of their 19 made field goals, a testament to their unselfish play.

Tactical Story

Chiusi’s offensive execution was nearly flawless. They shot 55% from the field (34-of-62) and 45% from three-point range (13-of-29). Their pick-and-roll combinations consistently produced open shooters, and when Quarrata switched, Chiusi’s big men punished them inside. Defensively, Chiusi forced 20 turnovers and held Quarrata to 36% shooting. The rebounding margin was also decisive: Chiusi grabbed 42 boards to Quarrata’s 28, including 12 offensive rebounds that led to 18 second-chance points. Quarrata’s head coach tried multiple defenses—man, zone, and full-court press—but nothing slowed Chiusi’s rhythm.

Standout Performers

• Marco Bellucci (San Giobbe Chiusi): 25 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 three-pointers—the engine of the offense.
• Luca Gori (Dany Basket Quarrata): 14 points, 4 rebounds, but 6 turnovers and 4-of-12 shooting.
• Federico Nannini (San Giobbe Chiusi): 18 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks, dominating the paint.
• Alessio Cipriani (San Giobbe Chiusi): 12 points, 8 assists, 0 turnovers—a masterful floor game.

Season Impact

The emphatic win boosts San Giobbe Chiusi’s point differential and sends a warning to the rest of Serie B Basket. They look like genuine contenders with their depth and offensive firepower. Dany Basket Quarrata, on the other hand, must address their defensive deficiencies immediately. They have allowed 90+ points in three of their last four games, and their playoff hopes will fade quickly if they cannot get stops. Quarrata faces a tough schedule ahead, while Chiusi will look to build on this statement performance.
