Basketball Club Lucca Power Past Ravenna 85-68

Basketball Club Lucca delivered a strong home performance in Serie B Basket on 26 October 2026, defeating Ravenna 85-68. The hosts used a balanced offensive attack and a decisive second-quarter run to take control, then maintained their advantage through the second half to secure a comfortable victory.

The result was built on Lucca’s defensive pressure and their ability to score in transition. Ravenna had moments of promise, especially when their guards created open looks from beyond the arc, but they could not match Lucca’s consistency over four quarters.

Match Overview

Lucca started brightly and took the first quarter 24-18, setting the tone with aggressive drives and quick ball movement. The second quarter proved even more important: the hosts outscored Ravenna 21-17 to take a 45-35 lead into halftime.

After the break, Lucca kept their foot on the gas. A 19-16 third quarter extended the lead to 64-51, and although Ravenna tried to rally in the fourth, the home side matched them with 21 points to close out an 85-68 win. The final margin accurately reflected Lucca’s control of the game.

Key Moments

The decisive stretch came late in the second quarter when Lucca turned a narrow lead into a double-digit cushion. A pair of steals led to easy transition baskets, and back-to-back offensive rebounds created second-chance points that demoralized Ravenna’s defense. By the time the halftime buzzer sounded, Lucca had established the tempo and the confidence to protect it.

Ravenna briefly threatened early in the third quarter with a quick flurry of three-pointers, but Lucca answered immediately with a 6-0 run of their own. That response prevented the visitors from building momentum and kept the home crowd engaged.

Tactical Story

Lucca’s half-court offense was patient and purposeful. They attacked the paint first, forcing Ravenna’s defense to collapse before finding open shooters on the perimeter. When Ravenna switched to a zone, Lucca adjusted well, using high-post passing and baseline cuts to create quality looks.

Defensively, Lucca’s guards did an excellent job of containing penetration and contesting shots. Ravenna was forced into several low-percentage attempts and struggled to generate clean looks in the paint. Lucca’s rebounding advantage also allowed them to control the pace and limit Ravenna’s transition opportunities.

Standout Performers

Lucca’s backcourt was instrumental in the win, combining scoring and playmaking while setting a high defensive standard. The team’s inside players controlled the glass and finished efficiently around the rim. Off the bench, Lucca received energy and production that helped maintain the lead through the rotation.

Ravenna’s best performers were their perimeter shooters, who kept the visitors within striking distance in the first half. However, Ravenna lacked a consistent interior presence and were often forced to rely on contested jump shots when the game began to slip away.

Season Impact

The 85-68 victory gives Basketball Club Lucca a valuable home win and reinforces their credentials in the Serie B Basket standings. A seventeen-point margin against a competitive Ravenna side is a statement of intent, especially with the team’s balanced scoring and defensive discipline on display.

Ravenna will need to address their rebounding and half-court execution before their next outing. For Lucca, the challenge is to carry this level of intensity on the road, where the margins in Serie B Basket are often much tighter.
