Aurora Desio 77-82 Treviso Basket: Treviso Win the Fourth-Quarter Battle

Treviso Basket left Aurora Desio with an important 82-77 road victory in Serie B Basket on October 25, 2026, breaking open a tied game in the final quarter. The contest had been evenly matched for three periods, but Treviso’s execution down the stretch and their composure at the free-throw line proved decisive.

Desio and Treviso traded the lead throughout the first half, with neither side able to establish a comfortable cushion. The game was tied at 59-59 after three quarters, setting up a tense final ten minutes in which Treviso found the extra scoring burst that Desio could not match.

Match overview

Treviso started with better offensive rhythm, moving the ball quickly and finding open shooters against Desio’s early zone looks. Desio responded through transition baskets and second-chance points, keeping the game close even when their half-court offense stalled. The first half ended with Treviso ahead 41-38, a lead that felt fragile given how evenly the teams had played.

• Quarter scores: Aurora Desio 20-22, 18-19, 21-18, 18-23

• End of third quarter: Aurora Desio 59-59 Treviso Basket

Key moments

After Desio tied the game at 59-59 heading into the fourth, Treviso opened the final quarter with an 8-0 run that changed the complexion of the match. The run was built on aggressive pick-and-roll play and two offensive rebounds that led to open corner threes. Desio called timeout, but Treviso’s momentum continued as their guards attacked the paint and drew fouls.

Desio did not fade completely. A late 6-0 surge brought them within three points in the final minute, but Treviso answered with four straight free throws to close the door. The visitors’ ability to protect the ball in the final two minutes was the difference in a game that had been decided by small margins throughout.

Tactical story

Treviso’s pick-and-roll offense was the central tactical problem for Desio. The visitors repeatedly forced switches and attacked the mismatch, either scoring at the rim or kicking out to shooters. Desio adjusted by switching more aggressively in the second half, which helped them tie the game, but Treviso countered with backdoor cuts and offensive rebounding.

Desio’s own offense was at its best in transition. When they defended without fouling and ran off misses, they looked capable of taking control. The problem was consistency: too many empty possessions in the fourth quarter allowed Treviso to build a lead that Desio could only threaten, not erase.

Standout players

Marco Bellini led Treviso with 22 points and six assists, repeatedly finding seams in Desio’s defense. His backcourt partner added 15 points, including two crucial fourth-quarter threes. For Desio, Luca Colombo scored 19 points and kept the hosts in contention with a series of tough finishes, while their center finished with a double-double in a losing effort.

Season impact

The win gives Treviso Basket valuable momentum in the Serie B Basket standings and confirms their ability to win close games on the road. Aurora Desio will take encouragement from the fight they showed but will focus on late-game execution and defensive rebounding. In a league where away wins are precious, Treviso’s 82-77 result is a meaningful early-season marker.
