Asd Loreto Basket 60-83 Faenza: Faenza Dominate on the Road

Faenza delivered a convincing 83-60 road victory over Asd Loreto Basket in Serie B Basket on October 25, 2026, controlling the game from the opening quarter and never allowing the hosts to build any sustained momentum. The final margin reflected Faenza’s superiority on both ends of the floor.

Loreto struggled to find offensive rhythm against Faenza’s physical half-court defense, while the visitors moved the ball efficiently and attacked the basket with purpose. By halftime Faenza led 43-31, and a dominant third quarter removed any doubt about the result.

The hosts eventually settled with a few transition baskets, but they never found a reliable answer to Faenza’s defensive pressure. Faenza’s guards controlled the tempo, and their big men dominated the paint on both ends.

Key moments

The game’s decisive stretch came in the third quarter. Leading 43-31 at halftime, Faenza opened the second half with a 12-2 run that pushed the advantage beyond 20 points. Loreto’s offense became stagnant, with too many possessions ending in contested three-point attempts or late shot-clock turnovers.

Faenza’s bench also made an impact, maintaining the defensive intensity when the starters rested. Loreto managed a few scoring bursts in the fourth quarter, but Faenza always had an answer, closing out the win with disciplined possessions and strong rebounding.

Tactical story

Faenza’s half-court defense was the foundation of the win. They clogged the paint, forced Loreto into mid-range shots and rotated quickly to close out on shooters. Offensively, Faenza attacked the rim early, which drew fouls and opened up driving lanes later in the game.

Loreto’s best moments came when they played with pace, but those moments were too rare. Faenza controlled the defensive glass and limited second-chance points, while their own offensive rebounding created extra possessions that slowly broke Loreto’s resistance.

Standout players

Andrea Neri led Faenza with 20 points and eight rebounds, setting the tone inside. The Faenza backcourt combined for 24 points and controlled the pace throughout. For Loreto, Matteo Rossi scored 15 points and competed hard on the boards, but he lacked consistent support against Faenza’s balanced attack.

Season impact

Faenza’s 83-60 win is a strong statement in the Serie B Basket race, showcasing their depth and defensive identity. Asd Loreto Basket will need to review their half-court offense and turnover issues before their next fixture. On this evidence, Faenza look like a team capable of competing with the best in the division.
