Alberti Santi Fiorenzuola 1972 slipped to a 74-82 home defeat against A2A Leonessa Brescia in Serie B Basket on 12 October 2026, in a game that stayed tight for three quarters before the visitors pulled clear in the closing stretch. Brescia's ability to score off second chances and convert late free throws proved the difference in a contest decided by small margins.

Match Overview

The two sides traded the lead throughout a competitive first half, with Fiorenzuola leaning on their half-court execution and Brescia finding rhythm in transition. The hosts went into the interval with a narrow advantage, but a decisive third quarter swung the momentum permanently towards the visitors.

• Q1: Fiorenzuola 18-22 Brescia
• Q2: Fiorenzuola 21-16 Brescia
• Q3: Fiorenzuola 15-24 Brescia
• Q4: Fiorenzuola 20-20 Brescia
• Final: Fiorenzuola 74-82 Brescia

Key Moments

The turning point arrived midway through the third period, when Brescia strung together a run built on defensive stops and quick outlet passes. Fiorenzuola's offence stalled against a switched-up defensive scheme, and the visitors turned a two-point deficit into a nine-point cushion before the final break. The home side rallied briefly in the fourth, cutting the gap to five with under four minutes remaining, but Brescia answered with a corner three and a pair of made free throws to close the door.

Tactical Story

Fiorenzuola's offence ran efficiently through the high post in the first half, generating open looks for their shooters and drawing fouls inside. After the break, Brescia pushed their defensive line higher, forced the ball out of the paint, and dared the hosts to beat them from the perimeter. The adjustment worked: Fiorenzuola's shooting cooled, and their rebounding advantage on the offensive glass disappeared as Brescia's forwards controlled the defensive boards. On the other end, Brescia attacked the rim relentlessly, drawing help defenders before kicking out to open shooters.

Standout Players

Brescia's backcourt controlled the tempo, combining patient half-court sets with aggressive drives in the second half. Their perimeter shooting in the third quarter was the single biggest factor in the result. For Fiorenzuola, the interior play was a bright spot for much of the night, and their bench contributed valuable minutes, but the hosts lacked a reliable scoring option once Brescia tightened up defensively.

Standings and Season Impact

The loss leaves Fiorenzuola chasing consistency in the early part of the Serie B Basket campaign, while Brescia take valuable road momentum into their next fixtures. In a league where home form historically decides playoff seeding, dropping a winnable game at home is a setback, though the margin of defeat suggests the gap to the top of the table remains manageable.
