Key moments

The first quarter set the tone. Crvena Zvezda scored 32 points while holding Korac Akademija to just 10, using a full-court press that produced repeated steals and easy layups. The second quarter followed a similar pattern, with the home side extending the lead to 60-24 by halftime.

Any chance of a more competitive second half disappeared early in the third quarter. Red Star opened with a 14-2 run, pushing the margin past 40 points. Korac Akademija continued to play with effort, but the size, speed, and experience differential was too great. The fourth quarter allowed Red Star’s bench players to see extended minutes, and they maintained the defensive intensity until the final buzzer.

Tactical story

Crvena Zvezda’s game plan was simple but executed at a high level: pressure the ball, deny passing lanes, and attack before the defense could set. Their guards repeatedly drove into the heart of the Korac Akademija defense, drawing help and creating open corner three-pointers. On the boards, Red Star dominated both ends, limiting second-chance opportunities and launching quick outlets.

Korac Akademija Women tried to slow the tempo with zone defense in the second half, but Red Star’s ball movement and outside shooting quickly dismantled it. The visitors’ few bright moments came from mid-range jumpers and offensive rebounds, but they were far too infrequent to threaten the outcome.
