Tamis Petrohemija left Zlatibor with a 95-88 road victory in the Serbia Basketball League, using a composed fourth quarter to turn a tight contest into a statement win. The visitors matched Zlatibor’s early energy, survived a second-quarter push, and then found an extra gear in the final six minutes to close out a valuable result on the road.

Match overview

The game was played at a high tempo from the opening possession, with both teams happy to attack early in the shot clock. Tamis Petrohemija edged the first quarter 25-22, but Zlatibor responded well in the second to level the contest at 46-46 by halftime. The third quarter remained tight, with Tamis taking a 69-66 lead into the final period before pulling away late.

The final scoreline of 95-88 reflected Tamis’s superior execution down the stretch. Zlatibor stayed within striking distance for much of the fourth quarter, but a series of empty possessions and a few costly turnovers allowed the visitors to build a decisive cushion. Tamis made the big shots when the game was still in the balance and protected the ball well in the closing minutes.

Key moments

The turning point came midway through the fourth quarter. With Zlatibor threatening to take the lead, Tamis produced a 10-2 run built on patient half-court offense and two timely three-pointers. That burst shifted the momentum and forced Zlatibor to chase the game. Tamis then converted its free throws in the final minute to seal the win.

• Tamis closed the third quarter with a small run to take a 69-66 lead into the final period.
• A 10-2 fourth-quarter surge gave the visitors the breathing room they needed.
• Zlatibor’s late threes kept the home crowd engaged, but Tamis answered on the next possession almost every time.
• Free-throw shooting in the final minute proved decisive as Zlatibor was forced to foul.

Tactical story

Tamis Petrohemija did a better job of controlling the rhythm of the game. Their pick-and-roll attack created open looks for the guards, and their offensive rebounding gave them extra possessions in the second half. Defensively, Tamis switched between man-to-man and a compact zone look, disrupting Zlatibor’s perimeter rhythm just enough in the fourth quarter.

Zlatibor relied heavily on three-point shooting and transition baskets. That approach kept them in the game, but it also made them vulnerable when the shots stopped falling. Foul trouble in the frontcourt limited their ability to protect the rim late, and Tamis took advantage by attacking the paint with purpose.

Standout players

Nikola Vasić led Tamis with 24 points and seven assists, repeatedly finding seams in Zlatibor’s defense. Marko Đurić added 18 points and nine rebounds, while Luka Jovanović contributed 15 points and several important defensive plays in the fourth quarter. For Zlatibor, Stefan Milošević scored 22 points, Aleksa Radovanović added 17, and Petar Ilić finished with 12 in a losing effort.

Season impact

The win gives Tamis Petrohemija an important road result in the Serbia Basketball League standings and reinforces their ability to close out tight games. For Zlatibor, the defeat is a missed opportunity at home, especially after competing on level terms for three quarters. Both teams will now turn to their next fixtures, with Tamis looking to build momentum and Zlatibor eager to respond quickly.
