Vojvodina secured a 74-54 home victory over KK Radnicki in the Serbia Basketball League on October 24, 2026, leaning on a smothering defensive display and a balanced offensive effort. The win was built on a strong first half and a third-quarter run that put the game beyond reach.

Match overview

Vojvodina set the tone early, holding KK Radnicki to 12 points in the first quarter while scoring 19. The home side’s defense was active, closing driving lanes and forcing Radnicki into contested jumpers. The second quarter was more competitive, but Vojvodina still won it 18-15 to take a 37-27 lead into halftime.

The third quarter was the decisive period. Vojvodina opened with a 13-0 run, turning a 10-point lead into a 23-point advantage. Radnicki never recovered. Vojvodina won the quarter 20-11 and carried a 57-38 lead into the final period. The fourth quarter was played at a slower pace, with Vojvodina managing the clock and closing out a 74-54 win. The quarter scores were 19-12, 18-15, 20-11 and 17-16.

Key moments

The game’s defining stretch came at the start of the third quarter. Vojvodina’s guards pressured the ball, the wings deflected passes and the big men protected the rim. The result was a 13-0 run that included two fast-break layups, a three-pointer and a block that led directly to points at the other end. That burst silenced any hope of a Radnicki comeback.

Radnicki’s best moment came late in the second quarter, when a 6-0 run cut the deficit to six. But Vojvodina responded with a three-pointer before halftime and then delivered the knockout punch immediately after the break. The visitors could not match Vojvodina’s intensity in the third quarter.

Tactical story

Vojvodina’s defense was the story of the game. The home team played with excellent discipline in the half court, keeping Radnicki’s ball-handlers in front of them and forcing help defenders to rotate quickly. Radnicki struggled to find open looks and settled for difficult shots throughout the evening. Vojvodina’s defensive rebounding was also strong, limiting second-chance points.

On offense, Vojvodina shared the ball and attacked the paint when opportunities opened up. The home side’s guards controlled the tempo, while the frontcourt provided screens, rolls and offensive rebounds. It was not an explosive offensive performance, but it was efficient enough to complement the defensive effort.

Standout performers

Vojvodina’s backcourt led the way with poise and decision-making. The starting guards set the defensive tone and made smart passes in transition. Vojvodina’s center anchored the defense, protecting the rim and controlling the boards. The bench maintained the energy, particularly during the third-quarter run that sealed the result.

For KK Radnicki, the effort was there, but the execution was not. The visitors’ leading scorer had a few bright moments, yet he was often forced into tough shots. Radnicki’s big men worked hard on the glass, but the team’s offense lacked the fluidity needed to break down Vojvodina’s defense.

Season impact

The win gives Vojvodina a valuable home result in the Serbia Basketball League standings. A 20-point margin of victory, built on defense, sends a strong message about the team’s identity. Vojvodina will look to carry that defensive intensity into its next fixtures.

For KK Radnicki, the loss highlights the importance of handling pressure and finding better shot selection. The visitors showed fight in the first half, but the third-quarter collapse was the difference. The final score of 74-54 reflects Vojvodina’s control and Radnicki’s offensive struggles.
