KK Metalac Hold Off KK Dynamic for 79-77 Serbia Basketball League Win

KK Metalac survived a tense finish to beat KK Dynamic 79-77 in the Serbia Basketball League on 27 October 2026. The home side led for much of the second half, but KK Dynamic’s late rally made it a one-possession game in the final minute. Metalac held their nerve at the free-throw line and came up with one final defensive stop to secure the two-point victory.

The game was a contrast in styles: Metalac preferred a physical half-court approach, while KK Dynamic tried to speed up the tempo and create open looks from the perimeter. In the end, Metalac’s control of the defensive glass and their composure in the clutch proved decisive.

• Quarter scores: KK Metalac 20-19-22-18 — 79; KK Dynamic 18-21-16-22 — 77
• Halftime: KK Dynamic led 41-39
• Decisive stretch: Metalac’s 22-16 third quarter

Key Moments

The third quarter was where Metalac created the separation they needed. Trailing by two at the break, they opened the second half with a 10-3 run, forcing KK Dynamic into several contested jump shots. Metalac’s big men controlled the defensive boards during that stretch, limiting second-chance points and allowing the guards to push the ball in transition.

KK Dynamic did not go away. They trimmed the lead to two with under a minute left and had possession to tie the game. However, Metalac’s perimeter defense forced a difficult fadeaway, and the rebound was secured. On the ensuing possession, Metalac converted key free throws to make it a two-possession game. A late KK Dynamic basket reduced the final margin, but there was no time left for a comeback.

Tactical Story

KK Metalac’s game plan revolved around controlling the paint and making KK Dynamic work for every shot. They switched effectively on screens, contested three-pointers and forced the visitors into mid-range attempts. Offensively, Metalac used their size advantage inside and attacked the offensive glass, which helped them survive a few dry spells from the perimeter.

KK Dynamic were at their most dangerous when they played with pace. Their guards created penetration and kicked out to shooters, and they produced several quick scoring bursts. The problem was consistency. Too often, KK Dynamic settled for early three-pointers or turned the ball over against Metalac’s pressure. In a game decided by two points, those empty possessions were costly.

Standout Players

• Stefan Vukovic (KK Metalac): 21 points, including crucial free throws in the final minute.
• Luka Arsenijevic (KK Metalac): 13 points and 13 rebounds, dominating the defensive glass.
• Milos Petrovic (KK Dynamic): 19 points, keeping the visitors in the game with timely shot-making.
• Aleksa Ilic (KK Dynamic): 8 assists, orchestrating the second-half comeback attempt.

Season Impact

The win gives KK Metalac an important confidence boost in the Serbia Basketball League and reinforces their ability to close out tight games at home. For KK Dynamic, the loss is a frustrating one, especially after coming so close to stealing a road result. Both teams will take lessons from a contest that was decided by small details: rebounding, free throws and one final defensive possession.
