Tureberg Basket produced a strong all-around home performance to defeat Trelleborg Basket 82-63 in Superettan Basket on October 25, 2026. The hosts controlled the game from the second quarter onward, using defensive pressure and efficient half-court execution to secure a 19-point victory.

Match overview

Tureberg opened with good energy, attacking the rim and drawing early fouls. Trelleborg responded with a pair of three-pointers to keep the game close, but the hosts’ defensive adjustments in the second quarter changed the contest. Tureberg held Trelleborg to just 13 points in the period and took a 43-31 halftime lead.

The third quarter followed a similar pattern. Tureberg extended its defense, forced turnovers, and converted them into quick points. A 10-0 run midway through the period pushed the lead to 20 points, and the hosts entered the final quarter ahead 64-45. Trelleborg never threatened to close the gap, and Tureberg managed the closing minutes comfortably.

Key moments

The decisive run came in the second quarter. After Trelleborg had trimmed the deficit to five, Tureberg responded with a 13-2 surge built on defensive stops and fast-break baskets. The run forced a Trelleborg timeout and gave the hosts a double-digit lead they never surrendered.

Early in the fourth, Trelleborg attempted to increase its pressure and create turnovers, but Tureberg’s guards handled the ball well and found open teammates. A three-pointer from the corner and a strong offensive rebound sealed any remaining doubt.

Tactical story

Tureberg’s defense was the story of the game. The hosts limited Trelleborg’s penetration, contested three-point attempts, and controlled the defensive glass. Their help defense was quick and disciplined, forcing Trelleborg into difficult shots late in the clock. Offensively, Tureberg attacked with patience, using ball screens to create mismatches and then either driving to the rim or kicking out to open shooters.

Trelleborg struggled to establish any rhythm. The visitors relied on individual scoring and were unable to generate consistent offense against Tureberg’s compact defense. Their turnovers allowed the hosts to play in transition, which only increased the margin as the game progressed.

Standout performers

• Elias Sjöberg led Tureberg with 20 points, attacking the basket effectively throughout the game.
• Hugo Åkesson added 14 points and seven rebounds, providing a strong inside presence.
• Marcus Ek contributed 12 points off the bench, including several important second-half baskets.
• Anton Persson scored 15 points for Trelleborg, but the visitors struggled to find secondary scoring.

Season impact

The 82-63 win strengthens Tureberg Basket’s position in the Superettan Basket standings and gives the team a valuable confidence boost at home. The defensive effort and balanced scoring will be particularly encouraging for the coaching staff. For Trelleborg Basket, the defeat highlights areas to address in ball control and half-court execution. Tureberg will aim to maintain their intensity in the next round, while Trelleborg must find a way to generate more consistent offense against disciplined defenses.
