Norrort Basket suffered an 80-88 home defeat against Trelleborg Basket in Superettan Basket on 24 October 2026, as the visitors used a strong fourth quarter to secure the win. Trelleborg’s balanced scoring and late defensive stops allowed them to pull away in a game that had been tight for three quarters.

Match overview

Norrort started brightly, using home energy and aggressive drives to build an early advantage. Trelleborg stayed calm and chipped away at the lead with efficient half-court offense. The first half ended with little separating the teams, and the third quarter followed a similar pattern, with both sides trading baskets and neither able to establish a double-digit cushion.

The final period proved decisive. Trelleborg tightened their defense, forced Norrort into contested shots, and converted key opportunities in transition. Norrort’s offense stalled for a crucial stretch, allowing Trelleborg to build an eight-point lead that they protected at the free-throw line.

Key moments

• Fourth-quarter run: Trelleborg opened the final period with a 10-2 burst to take control.
• Defensive stops: Norrort went several possessions without a field goal during the decisive stretch.
• Transition scoring: Trelleborg turned defensive rebounds into quick points, stretching the lead.
• Late composure: Trelleborg made enough free throws in the final minute to close out the game.

Tactical story

Norrort’s offense was at its best when they attacked the rim early in the shot clock. Their guards created pressure, and the frontcourt finished well around the basket. However, Trelleborg adjusted by shrinking the lane and forcing Norrort to shoot from the perimeter. That change slowed Norrort’s attack and limited their second-chance opportunities.

Trelleborg’s offense relied on patience and ball movement. They used screens to create mismatches and attacked closeouts with drives. Their ability to score in the paint and at the free-throw line proved crucial, especially when Norrort’s outside shooting cooled in the fourth quarter.

Standout performers

Johan Berg led Trelleborg with 21 points, including several important baskets in the fourth quarter. Their point guard added 15 points and eight assists, controlling the tempo. For Norrort, Elias Holm scored 18 points and battled on the boards, while their shooting guard added 14 points. Norrort’s effort was strong, but they lacked the late offensive spark to match Trelleborg’s run.

Season impact

The win gives Trelleborg Basket a valuable road result and strengthens their position in the Superettan Basket standings. Norrort, meanwhile, will be disappointed to lose at home after competing for three quarters. The result underlines the importance of late-game execution in a league where margins are often small.

Norrort must improve their fourth-quarter offense and defensive rebounding, while Trelleborg will look to carry their closing form into the next fixture. With the season still developing, both teams have time to shape their table position, but this was a result Trelleborg will value highly.
