Huddinge escaped with a 104-103 road win over Norrort Basket in Superettan Basket on 21 October 2026, winning a game that swung repeatedly and was not settled until the final possession. The one-point final score reflected the closeness of the contest: neither team led by more than a handful of points in the closing stages, and every late basket carried extra weight in the league standings.

Match overview

Norrort started with energy in front of its home crowd and attacked the paint early, but Huddinge stayed within touching distance by moving the ball quickly on the perimeter. The quarter scores told a story of constant adjustment: Norrort led 24-27 after the first, Huddinge moved ahead 52-50 at halftime, and the visitors carried a 79-77 edge into the final period. The last ten minutes turned into a possession-by-possession battle, with neither side able to build a comfortable cushion.

Key moments

The decisive stretch came in the final minute, when Huddinge forced Norrort into a contested look and then converted at the other end to take the lead for good. With the score tied at 103-103, Huddinge managed the clock well and got to the free-throw line, where a single point proved enough. Norrort had one last chance to steal it back, but the final shot did not fall, leaving the home side with a narrow and painful defeat.

Tactical story

Huddinge’s perimeter defense and late-game discipline were the difference. The visitors switched assignments effectively in the closing quarter, limiting Norrort’s clean three-point looks and forcing the home side to work deeper into the shot clock. Norrort’s interior play kept it in the game, especially on second-chance points, but Huddinge’s ability to answer immediately after a Norrort run prevented the hosts from turning momentum into a decisive burst.

Norrort’s rebounding effort was strong enough to create extra possessions, and its half-court offense produced a balanced scoring night. The problem was execution at the margins: a missed free throw here, a turnover there, and a couple of defensive breakdowns in transition added up to the one-point gap. Huddinge, by contrast, stayed composed in a hostile gym and made the smarter plays in the final two minutes.

Standout performers

Huddinge’s backcourt controlled the tempo and came up with the biggest plays of the night, combining timely shot-making with steady ball-handling under pressure. Norrort’s frontcourt was equally influential, controlling the glass and scoring through contact to keep the home side within reach. The game was less about one dominant scorer and more about which team could string together stops when the scoreboard pressure was at its highest.

Season impact

For Huddinge, the win is a valuable road result and a confidence boost in a competitive Superettan Basket campaign. For Norrort, the loss is a reminder that small details decide tight games; the team’s overall performance was strong enough to win, but the final possession did not go its way. The result also tightens the head-to-head picture between two sides that could be fighting for similar positions in the standings as the season develops.
