• Q1: Geneve Elite Basket 28 – 19 Helios VS Basket
• Q2: Geneve Elite Basket 24 – 22 Helios VS Basket
• Q3: Geneve Elite Basket 26 – 18 Helios VS Basket
• Q4: Geneve Elite Basket 24 – 22 Helios VS Basket

The second quarter was the most competitive of the night, with Helios briefly finding offensive rhythm. But a 26-18 third quarter restored full control to the hosts and effectively closed the door on any comeback.

Key Moments

The opening quarter featured the game's most important run. Geneve Elite Basket broke clear with a sustained stretch of scoring, combining accurate outside shooting with aggressive drives to the rim. Helios were forced into an early timeout, but the momentum had already shifted.

The true knockout blow arrived in the third quarter. Leading by double digits, Geneve Elite Basket ripped off a run either side of the midway point to push the advantage beyond 20, turning a competitive game into a comfortable victory.

Tactical Story

The hosts' victory was built on several clear strengths:

• Ball movement: Geneve Elite Basket consistently found the open player, creating high-percentage looks across the floor.
• Perimeter accuracy: Strong three-point shooting stretched Helios's defense and opened driving lanes.
• Transition play: Defensive rebounds were converted into quick points, particularly during the decisive first and third quarters.
• Bench contribution: Rotational players maintained the scoring tempo, ensuring no drop-off when the starters rested.

Helios VS Basket showed flashes of quality, particularly in the second quarter, and their 81-point total reflects a functional offense. The problem was at the other end, where they struggled to slow Geneve Elite Basket's rhythm and conceded far too many clean looks.

Standout Performances

Geneve Elite Basket's scoring was spread across the roster, with multiple players contributing double-figure returns and several others chipping in from the bench. The backcourt dictated pace throughout, while the interior players controlled the boards and limited Helios's second-chance opportunities. For the visitors, individual efforts kept the scoreline respectable, but the team never found a consistent defensive answer.

Season Impact

Reaching 102 points is a statement in the Swiss Basketball League Women, and this result strengthens Geneve Elite Basket's standing as a side capable of competing with the league's leading programs. The win also provides a useful boost to their points differential, which can matter when standings are tight at the business end of the season.

For Helios VS Basket, the focus will be on defensive structure and limiting opponents' transition opportunities. Their offense produced enough to compete — 81 points wins plenty of games — but the gap on the defensive end was the difference on the night. Both teams now turn to their next fixtures with clear priorities: Geneve Elite Basket looking to build on a commanding performance, Helios seeking a response.
