The Elfic Fribourg Women delivered one of their most commanding performances of the season, overwhelming Portes du Soleil BBC Troistorrents Women 88-51 in Swiss Basketball League Women action. The 37-point margin underlined the gulf in class on the night, with Fribourg controlling the contest from the opening quarter and never allowing their visitors a route back into the game.

Match Overview

Played at home, the fixture quickly turned into a showcase of Fribourg's depth and defensive discipline. They set the tone early with aggressive on-ball pressure and quick transition offense, racing into a double-digit lead before Troistorrents had time to settle. By halftime the result was already looking decided, and the second half became an exercise in professional control rather than a genuine contest.

Key Moments

• First quarter: Fribourg opened with a high-tempo run, forcing turnovers and converting them into easy points at the rim.
• Second quarter: A sustained scoring burst stretched the lead past 20, effectively breaking Troistorrents' resistance.
• Third quarter: The hosts kept their foot on the gas, rotating the bench without any drop in intensity.
• Fourth quarter: Fribourg closed out the win with disciplined defense, holding their opponents to a low final tally.

Tactical Story

Fribourg's success came from balance. They attacked the paint relentlessly while also finding open shooters on the perimeter, and their defensive rotations were sharp enough to deny Troistorrents any rhythm in half-court sets. The visitors struggled to generate clean looks, and whenever they did find space, Fribourg's help defense arrived quickly to contest the shot.

Standout Performers

It was a genuine team effort for Fribourg, with contributors across the rotation. The frontcourt dominated the boards at both ends, creating second-chance opportunities while limiting Troistorrents to one shot per possession. In the backcourt, quick decision-making and accurate passing kept the offense flowing, and the bench players maintained the same standard when called upon.

Season Impact

A 37-point victory of this nature does more than add a win to the standings — it builds momentum and confidence. For Elfic Fribourg Women, this result reinforces their credentials as one of the teams to watch in the Swiss Basketball League Women, while Portes du Soleil BBC Troistorrents Women will need to regroup and address their offensive execution before their next outing.
