Norrköping Dolphins secured an impressive 89-79 road win over KFUM Nassjö in the Svenska Basketligan, taking charge early and holding off a determined second-half push from the home side. The Dolphins' balanced scoring and disciplined defense proved the difference in a game where both teams shot the ball well from the perimeter.

Match Overview

Norrköping set the tone with a blistering first quarter, building a lead they would protect for the remainder of the contest. Nassjö clawed their way back into contention after halftime but were never able to complete the turnaround.

• Final score: KFUM Nassjö 79 – 89 Norrköping Dolphins
• Competition: Svenska Basketligan
• Quarter scores (Nassjö – Norrköping): 18-26, 22-20, 19-22, 20-21

Key Moments

The opening eight minutes decided the shape of the match. Norrköping's aggressive help defense forced Nassjö into turnovers, and the visitors converted those mistakes into quick points at the other end, opening a lead that reached double figures before the first break.

Nassjö responded well in the second quarter, using better spacing and improved shot selection to trim the deficit. They closed to within five points midway through the third, but Norrköping answered with a decisive 8-2 run, capped by a three-pointer from the top of the key, to restore control.

Tactical Story

Norrköping's game plan revolved around disrupting Nassjö's half-court rhythm. They switched aggressively on screens, denied passing lanes and forced the home side into late-clock attempts. Offensively, they shared the ball well, with multiple players contributing in double figures and a healthy assist-to-turnover ratio.

Nassjö's best stretches came when they slowed the tempo and attacked the paint methodically, drawing fouls and generating second-chance opportunities. Their rebounding effort kept them competitive, but cold spells from beyond the arc in the fourth quarter ultimately limited their comeback.

Standout Performers

• Norrköping perimeter: Accurate from three-point range and calm in late-clock situations.
• Norrköping defense: Consistently forced turnovers and limited easy looks around the rim.
• Nassjö: Their forwards battled hard on the boards and provided a reliable inside scoring presence throughout.

Season Impact

The victory keeps the Dolphins in strong early-season form and underlines their reputation as one of the league's most consistent programs. For Nassjö, the defeat is a frustrating one given the competitiveness of their second half, but the performance offers encouragement heading into their next fixtures. Both clubs will now prepare for a busy schedule as the Svenska Basketligan table begins to take shape.
