Lausanne secured an 85-75 home victory over BBC Nyon in the Swiss Basketball League on October 25, 2026, using a strong second-quarter run and timely fourth-quarter execution to close out the win.

Lausanne led for much of the game but had to hold off a determined Nyon side that remained within striking distance until the final minutes. The home team’s advantage in the paint and on the offensive glass proved decisive in a hard-fought contest.

Quarter-by-quarter

Key moments

Lausanne took a narrow 20-18 lead after the first quarter before opening the second period with a 10-2 run. The home side extended its advantage to 42-35 by halftime, with Nyon struggling to contain dribble penetration and second-chance opportunities.

Nyon cut the deficit to four points early in the fourth quarter, raising hopes of a comeback. Lausanne responded with an 8-0 run, capped by a three-pointer and a fast-break layup, to push the lead back to 12. Nyon never got closer than seven points in the final three minutes.

Tactical story

Lausanne’s interior play was the difference. The home side scored 48 points in the paint and grabbed 15 offensive rebounds, creating extra possessions that wore down Nyon’s defense. Lausanne also moved the ball well, finishing with 19 assists and repeatedly finding cutters against Nyon’s help defense.

Nyon stayed competitive with timely three-point shooting but was unable to match Lausanne’s physicality on the boards. The visitors also committed 14 turnovers, several of which led to easy transition points for Lausanne.

Standout performers

• Jeremy Landenbergue (Lausanne): 22 points and 6 assists, controlling the game from the backcourt.
• Thomas Fritschi (Lausanne): 18 points and 10 rebounds, dominating the paint.
• Ayoub Benrahma (Lausanne): 14 points off the bench, including two crucial fourth-quarter baskets.
• Devin Cooper (Nyon): 21 points and 8 assists in a strong all-around effort.
• Maxime Breque (Nyon): 16 points and 5 rebounds, keeping the visitors within reach.

Season impact

The win gives Lausanne a valuable home result and helps them build momentum in the Swiss Basketball League standings. BBC Nyon will take positives from their resilience but must improve their rebounding and turnover numbers after a game in which Lausanne’s physicality proved difficult to handle. Lausanne’s balanced scoring and inside presence make them a tough opponent on their home floor.
