Enisey delivered a dominant home performance on Wednesday night, overpowering BC Samara 91-70 in a Basketball Super League 1 clash at Arena Sever in Krasnoyarsk. The 21-point margin reflected the hosts' control from the second quarter onward, as they combined efficient outside shooting with a physical defensive effort that kept Samara at arm's length for the entire second half.

The decisive stretch came in the second period, when Enisey outscored Samara 23-15 to take a 47-33 advantage into the locker room. The visiting side never recovered.

Key Moments

The game turned midway through the second quarter. With Enisey leading 32-27, the hosts went on a 12-0 run over a three-minute span, capped by back-to-back three-pointers from the wings. That burst pushed the lead to 44-27 and forced Samara to call two timeouts in quick succession. Samara managed to steady momentarily, but the damage was done.

In the third quarter, Samara attempted to mount a comeback, cutting the deficit to 14 points at 58-44. However, Enisey responded immediately with a 7-0 spurt, highlighted by a fast-break dunk, to reassert control. The final period was academic, with Enisey emptying the bench in the closing minutes while still extending the lead.

Tactical Story

Enisey's defensive game plan was clear: pressure the ball handler, deny easy entry passes, and force Samara into contested jump shots. The approach worked brilliantly. Samara committed 18 turnovers, many of which turned into transition points for the hosts. Enisey also dominated the glass, out-rebounding Samara 42-31, including 12 offensive rebounds that led to 15 second-chance points.

Offensively, Enisey shot 52% from the field and 41% from beyond the arc, while Samara managed just 38% overall and 28% from three-point range. The visitors struggled to find rhythm against Enisey's switching defense, and their half-court offense often devolved into isolation plays late in the shot clock.

Standout Players

Enisey was led by guard Jordan Chatman, who scored a game-high 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting, including four three-pointers. He also added five assists and three steals. Forward Dmitry Sokolov posted a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds, controlling the paint on both ends. Point guard Artem Komissarov chipped in 14 points and seven assists, orchestrating the offense with poise.

For BC Samara, guard Marcos Knight was the lone bright spot, finishing with 17 points, six rebounds, and four assists, though he also had five turnovers. Big man Nikita Mikhailovsky added 12 points and eight rebounds, but foul trouble limited his minutes in the second half. The rest of the Samara rotation combined to shoot just 14-of-42 from the field.

Season Impact

With the win, Enisey improves to 3-1 in the early Basketball Super League 1 standings, keeping pace with the early front-runners. The victory also gives them a valuable head-to-head advantage should tiebreakers come into play later in the season. For BC Samara, the loss drops them to 1-3, and it exposes some of the offensive inconsistencies that have plagued them in the opening weeks.

Enisey will look to build on this momentum in their next outing, while Samara returns home hoping to correct their turnover issues and find more offensive balance. Based on this performance, Enisey appears to be a serious contender in the league, while Samara still has work to do to climb the table.
