The scoreline reflected Clube 5Basket's superiority on the night. They pressed aggressively, forced turnovers and turned defense into quick offense, while Vitoria SC Women struggled to generate clean looks against a compact and reactive defensive unit.

How the game turned

Clube 5Basket set the tone immediately, racing to a 24-6 lead after the first quarter. Their full-court pressure disrupted Vitoria's rhythm, and the home side was forced into difficult passes and contested shots. By halftime, the lead had grown to 30 points at 43-13, and the outcome was already looking settled.

The third quarter removed any doubt. Clube 5Basket held Vitoria to just five points in the period while adding 21 of their own, pushing the advantage to 64-18. The final quarter was played with the result beyond doubt, but Clube 5Basket maintained their defensive standards and closed out a comprehensive win.

Defensive dominance

The most striking feature of the game was Clube 5Basket's defense. They held Vitoria SC Women to single-digit scoring in every quarter, a reflection of their intensity, communication and discipline. The visitors closed gaps quickly, contested shots without fouling excessively and dominated the defensive glass.

Vitoria's best moments came when they attacked early in the shot clock, but those moments were rare. Clube 5Basket's ability to force turnovers and score in transition drained the home side's confidence and kept the crowd quiet.

What the result means

For Clube 5Basket, this is a statement win in the Portuguese Div 3 women's standings and a major boost to their point differential. For Vitoria SC Women, the focus will be on ball security, shot selection and rebuilding confidence after a difficult night. The 57-point margin underlines just how complete Clube 5Basket's performance was.
