Electrico FC earned an 85-76 road victory over Sporting CP B in Portugal’s Nacional 1A, using a strong second-half performance to overturn a competitive first half and secure an important win. The visitors found their offensive rhythm after the break and held off Sporting’s late push with composed execution at both ends.

Sporting start strongly

Sporting CP B began with energy, using their home crowd to fuel an aggressive start. They attacked the basket early and moved the ball well against Electrico’s initial defensive setup. Electrico stayed close by knocking down open shots, but Sporting’s intensity on the offensive glass gave them a slight edge in the opening quarter.

The second quarter was closely contested. Both teams traded baskets, and neither defense was able to establish full control. Electrico’s guards began to find gaps in Sporting’s perimeter defense, while Sporting relied on their interior play to keep the scoreboard ticking.

Key moments

• Electrico’s third-quarter run, sparked by consecutive three-pointers, shifted the momentum in their favor.
• Sporting CP B cut the deficit in the fourth quarter, but Electrico answered with timely baskets inside.
• Electrico’s free-throw shooting in the final minutes sealed the result.

Tactical story: adjustments and execution

Electrico FC made the better adjustments after halftime. They tightened their defense, limited Sporting’s second-chance opportunities, and forced the home side into tougher shots. Offensively, Electrico spread the floor effectively, creating driving lanes and open looks from beyond the arc.

Sporting CP B remained competitive through their effort on the boards and their ability to attack the rim, but they struggled to contain Electrico’s balanced scoring attack. The home side’s late comeback was built on defensive pressure, yet Electrico had enough poise to close out the game.

Standout performers

Electrico’s backcourt controlled the tempo and delivered key shots in the second half, while their forwards contributed important rebounds and interior scoring. Sporting CP B received solid performances from their leading scorers, but the home side could not find enough defensive stops during Electrico’s decisive third-quarter run.

What the result means

The 85-76 win strengthens Electrico FC’s standing in the Portugal Nacional 1A and gives them a valuable road result. For Sporting CP B, the defeat is a frustrating one after a promising start, and it underlines the importance of sustaining defensive intensity for the full 40 minutes. Electrico’s second-half control ultimately proved the difference in a tightly contested matchup.
