SK Legia Warszawa lifted the Poland Super Cup with a commanding 110–96 victory over Stelmet Enea BC Zielona Góra on September 27, 2026. In a high-scoring final that showcased the best of Polish basketball, Legia's offensive firepower and second-half control proved decisive in securing the trophy.

Match Overview

The Super Cup final promised an intriguing clash between two of the country's most established programs, and it delivered plenty of entertainment. Both teams came out aggressive, trading baskets in a fast-paced opening period. Zielona Góra's perimeter shooting kept them within touching distance early, while Legia attacked the rim with purpose and got to the free-throw line frequently.

The game turned in the third quarter, when Legia tightened their defense, forced a series of turnovers, and converted them into quick points at the other end. From there, they managed the game maturely, keeping Zielona Góra at arm's length despite a spirited late push.

Key Moments

• First half: A back-and-forth opening with both teams shooting efficiently, but Legia's ability to score in the paint gave them a narrow halftime edge.
• Third quarter: The decisive stretch — Legia's defensive pressure generated turnovers and a run that pushed the lead into double digits.
• Fourth quarter: Zielona Góra rallied behind three-point shooting, but Legia answered every run with composed half-court execution and clutch free throws.

Tactical Story

Legia Warszawa's offensive balance was the key to their success. They combined interior scoring with reliable outside shooting, and their guards consistently broke down the defense off the dribble, collapsing help defenders and creating open looks for teammates. Defensively, they switched aggressively and dared Zielona Góra to beat them from deep — a gamble that paid off as the game progressed.

For Stelmet Enea BC Zielona Góra, the night was defined by offensive inconsistency. When their shots fell, they looked capable of matching Legia basket for basket, but the scoring droughts in the third quarter proved too costly. Their rebounding effort was solid, but too many empty possessions allowed the Warsaw side to build and protect a lead.

Standout Performers

Legia's perimeter players set the tone with efficient shooting and intelligent playmaking, while their big men anchored the paint on both ends. The team's depth was evident, with contributions coming from the bench in crucial moments. Zielona Góra's guards fought hard and kept their team in contention, but they lacked the collective support needed to overturn a double-digit deficit.

Season Impact

Winning the Poland Super Cup is a significant early-season statement for SK Legia Warszawa. It builds confidence, delivers silverware, and sets a benchmark for the domestic league campaign ahead. For Stelmet Enea BC Zielona Góra, the defeat will sting, but the performance offered positives — particularly their resilience and three-point shooting — that they can carry into the rest of their schedule.
