Śląsk Wrocław produced one of their most controlled road performances of the young Polska Liga Koszykówki season, beating Wilki Morskie Szczecin 82–69 at a lively Szczecin arena. The visitors led for the majority of the night, weathered a third-quarter push from the home side, and closed the game with a composed final ten minutes to take the win by 13 points.

• Q3: Szczecin 16 – 19 Śląsk (52 – 62)

Śląsk never allowed the home crowd to fully take over the game. A quick start behind sharp perimeter shooting gave them a three-point edge after the first quarter, and a disciplined second period stretched the lead to seven by the break. Szczecin's best stretch came early in the third, when a run of transition baskets cut the deficit, but the visitors answered almost immediately with an 8–0 burst of their own.

Key Moments

The decisive passage arrived in the closing minutes of the third quarter. With Szczecin within four points and building momentum, Śląsk's backcourt forced three straight turnovers and converted them into easy points at the other end. By the time the fourth quarter began, the lead was back in double digits and the home side's offensive rhythm had been broken for good.

A late flagrant foul call on Szczecin further drained the atmosphere, sending Śląsk to the line for free points that effectively sealed the outcome with under three minutes remaining.

Tactical Story

Śląsk's game plan was built on defensive pressure and patient half-court execution. They switched aggressively on screens, crowded the paint, and dared Szczecin's shooters to beat them from the outside — a gamble that paid off, as the hosts finished well below their usual efficiency from beyond the arc. Offensively, Śląsk attacked the rim early to draw fouls, then punished Szczecin's help defence with kick-out passes to open corner shooters.

Szczecin, by contrast, lived and died with one-on-one basketball. When their primary scorers were contained, ball movement stalled and possessions ended in contested mid-range jumpers. Their rebounding effort kept them within touching distance for three quarters, but the turnover count ultimately proved too costly.

Standout Players

• Devonte Rivers (Śląsk Wrocław): 21 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds — the game's most influential player in the closing stretch.
• Jakub Nizioł (Śląsk Wrocław): 16 points and 9 rebounds, giving his team valuable second-chance opportunities.
• Nikola Marković (Śląsk Wrocław): 12 points and 11 rebounds, anchoring the defence inside.
• Michał Krajewski (Wilki Morskie Szczecin): 18 points, the brightest note in a difficult offensive night for the hosts.
• Bryce Tillman (Wilki Morskie Szczecin): 15 points and 7 rebounds before foul trouble limited his fourth-quarter minutes.

Table and Season Impact

The win strengthens Śląsk Wrocław's position in the upper half of the PLK standings and continues a promising run of road form. As one of the most decorated clubs in Polish basketball history, Śląsk expect to be competing near the top of the table and this type of gritty away performance is exactly what title-chasing teams need across a long season.

For Wilki Morskie Szczecin, the defeat is a reminder of how competitive the Polish top flight has become. A former league champion in its own right, Szczecin has the talent to bounce back quickly, but consistency on the offensive end will be the priority in the coming rounds. Both clubs now turn their attention to the next fixture on the calendar, with Szczecin eager to respond on the road and Śląsk looking to build on an impressive away result.
