Stelmet Enea BC Zielona Góra survived a tense finish to beat Anwil Wloclawek 78-77 in the Polska Liga Koszykowk on 24 October 2026. The game went down to the final possession, with Zielona Góra holding on after Anwil’s last attempt failed to find the target.

Match Overview

The contest was close from the opening tip. Zielona Góra edged the first quarter 20-18, but Anwil responded to level the game at 39-39 by halftime. The third quarter was another tight battle, with Anwil taking a narrow 59-57 lead into the final period. Zielona Góra then produced a composed fourth quarter, scoring 21 points and limiting Anwil just enough to secure a one-point win.

The lead changed hands several times in the closing minutes. Neither team was able to create meaningful separation, and the game was ultimately decided by execution at the free-throw line and one final defensive stand.

Key Moments

The final two minutes were packed with drama. Zielona Góra moved ahead by three points with under a minute remaining, only for Anwil to cut the deficit back to one. After a missed free throw at the other end, Anwil had a chance to win it, but a contested shot at the buzzer rimmed out.

Earlier, Zielona Góra’s third-quarter response had kept them in touch after Anwil briefly threatened to take control. A series of offensive rebounds and second-chance points allowed the hosts to stay within striking distance before their late surge.

Tactical Story

Both teams defended aggressively and made scoring difficult in the half-court. Zielona Góra relied on patient ball movement and drives into the paint, while Anwil looked to punish them from beyond the arc and in transition. The hosts’ ability to get to the free-throw line proved crucial, especially in the fourth quarter.

Anwil’s rebounding kept them in the game, and their half-court defense forced Zielona Góra into several late-clock attempts. In the end, the smallest details separated the sides: one extra made free throw and one final stop.

Standout Performers

Zielona Góra’s leading guard finished with 20 points and five assists, controlling the tempo in the final quarter. Their center added 14 points and nine rebounds, while Anwil’s top scorer posted 18 points and 10 rebounds in a strong all-round display.
