It was a game of runs, but Szczecin’s ability to answer every Sopot surge proved the difference. The visitors shot efficiently from the field, controlled the defensive glass in the final period, and made the big plays when the pressure was highest.

Match overview

Szczecin started brightly and led 25-22 after the first quarter. Especially in Sopot responded in the second, using a 9-2 spurt to briefly take the lead before the visitors steadied themselves for a 45-43 halftime advantage. Key moments

The decisive stretch came with the game hanging at 76-72. Szczecin forced two straight turnovers and converted them into five quick points, then added a corner three on the next possession to push the lead to 84-72. Sopot tried to rally behind their guards, but Szczecin’s free-throw shooting in the final two minutes kept the hosts at arm’s length.

Standout performers

• Marek Kowalski paced Wilki Morskie Szczecin with 27 points and eight rebounds, repeatedly finding seams in the Sopot defense.
• Devon Green added 19 points and six assists, including the go-ahead three-pointer in the fourth quarter.

Season impact
