Binán Tatak Gel Dominate Caloocan in MPBL Women’s Showdown

The Binán Tatak Gel women’s basketball team delivered a commanding performance on April 29, 2026, overpowering the Caloocan Lady Kankaloo with a resounding 102–67 victory in the Philippines MPBL Women’s division. The match, played at a neutral venue, showcased Binán’s offensive firepower and defensive discipline, as they built an early lead and never looked back.

From the opening tip, Binán set the tempo with aggressive full-court pressure and crisp ball movement. Their transition game was particularly effective, turning Caloocan turnovers into easy fast-break points. By halftime, the Tatak Gel had already established a comfortable double-digit cushion, and they continued to pour it on in the second half, reaching the century mark for the first time this season.

Key Performers and Tactical Story

Binán’s balanced scoring attack was the story of the night. Multiple players reached double figures, with the starting guard duo orchestrating the offense with poise. The team’s ability to stretch the floor with three-point shooting opened driving lanes, while their bigs dominated the paint on both ends. Defensively, Binán held Caloocan to just 67 points, well below the Lady Kankaloo’s season average, by contesting every shot and controlling the defensive glass.

For Caloocan, the loss highlighted ongoing struggles in half-court offense and defensive rotation. The Lady Kankaloo were unable to contain Binán’s pick-and-roll actions and frequently lost shooters in transition. Despite a few bright spots off the bench, consistency remains an area of growth for the team.

Season and Standings Impact

The win significantly boosts Binán Tatak Gel’s positioning in the MPBL Women’s standings, reinforcing their status as a title contender. The 35-point margin of victory also improves their point differential, a key tiebreaker in the tightly contested league. For Caloocan, the loss adds pressure to regroup quickly as the season enters its critical stretch.

With this result, Binán sends a clear message to the rest of the league: they are a team capable of explosive offensive nights and suffocating defense. Fans will be watching closely to see if they can sustain this momentum in upcoming fixtures.
