Tactical Story

Telsiai’s success came from their balanced offense. They had multiple players in double figures and moved the ball unselfishly, finishing with a high assist total. Defensively, they clogged the paint and forced Rytas B to shoot from the perimeter. When Rytas B did drive, Telsiai’s help defense was quick to rotate and contest.

Rytas B, a development-focused squad, showed flashes of talent but struggled with consistency. They turned the ball over too often and allowed Telsiai to score in transition. Their half-court offense relied heavily on individual plays, which made it difficult to sustain runs against a disciplined opponent. The loss is a learning experience for a young team competing in the Nacionaline Krepsinio Lyga.

• Mantas Jokubaitis (Telsiai): 18 points, 6 assists. Jokubaitis orchestrated the offense and hit key three-pointers.
• Justas Klimas (Rytas B): 19 points, 4 rebounds. Klimas was Rytas B’s most consistent scorer.

Season Impact

The win boosts Telsiai in the Nacionaline Krepsinio Lyga standings and gives them confidence on the road. For Rytas B, the loss highlights the challenges of competing against more experienced teams. The young squad will need to improve its decision-making and defensive rebounding to climb the table. Telsiai, meanwhile, will look to build on this performance as they aim for a strong season.

Telsiai will return home with momentum, while Rytas B will focus on development and bounce-back opportunities in the coming weeks.
