OSE Lions secured a solid 93-84 victory over NKA Pecs in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I/A, combining efficient offense with a strong defensive effort when it mattered most. The home side's ability to close out the game in the fourth quarter was the key to taking the win.

Match Overview

The contest was competitive for much of the night, with NKA Pecs staying within touching distance through the first three quarters. However, OSE Lions found another gear in the closing period, pulling away with a series of well-executed offensive sets and important stops at the defensive end.

How the Game Was Won

OSE Lions controlled the key statistical areas, winning the rebounding battle and limiting second-chance points. Their interior defense forced Pecs into difficult shots, while their own offense moved the ball well to create open looks both inside and from the perimeter.

• Painting scoring: OSE Lions outscored Pecs in the paint with strong post play.
• Rebound control: Dominating the glass limited Pecs' second-chance opportunities.
• Fourth-quarter execution: A decisive run in the final period put the game out of reach.

Key Moments

NKA Pecs kept the game close with accurate outside shooting and quick transition baskets, but every time they threatened to close the gap, OSE Lions responded with a timely score. The defining stretch came midway through the fourth quarter, when the Lions strung together a run that stretched the lead into double figures and effectively sealed the result.

For NKA Pecs, the loss is a reminder of the fine margins in the league, though their competitiveness suggests better results are within reach.
