ROSTER GALLOS produced a balanced offensive performance and a decisive second-half run to beat Escuderos de Jalisco 90-79 in Mexico CIBAPAC action on October 30, 2026. The home side led by seven at halftime, then created separation in the third quarter to secure a comfortable victory.

Game Flow

The first quarter was tight, with ROSTER GALLOS holding a 22-18 edge. Escuderos de Jalisco stayed within reach through the second period, but the hosts went into halftime with a 46-39 lead after finding better rhythm from the perimeter and getting second-chance points inside.

The third quarter proved decisive. ROSTER GALLOS opened the half with sharper defensive pressure, forced turnovers and turned them into quick baskets. By the end of the period, the lead had grown to 67-58. The fourth quarter followed a similar pattern, with the home side managing the clock and answering every Escuderos run to close out the 90-79 win.

The Decisive Run

The key stretch came midway through the third quarter when ROSTER GALLOS put together a 12-2 run. It began with back-to-back defensive stops and a transition layup, then continued with a three-pointer from the wing and a put-back after an offensive rebound. Escuderos de Jalisco called timeout, but the momentum had already shifted.

That sequence reflected the broader story of the game: ROSTER GALLOS were quicker to loose balls, more aggressive on the offensive glass and more efficient in transition. Escuderos de Jalisco stayed competitive in the half court but could not match the hosts’ energy over 40 minutes.

Top Performers

• Diego Salazar (ROSTER GALLOS): Led all scorers with 24 points and added 7 assists, controlling the game in both transition and half-court sets.
• Marco Villanueva (ROSTER GALLOS): Finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds, giving the hosts a strong interior presence on both ends.
• Emiliano Cortés (Escuderos de Jalisco): Scored 21 points and kept his team within striking distance with timely shot-making.
• Raúl Mendoza (Escuderos de Jalisco): Added 14 points and 8 rebounds, but struggled with foul trouble in the second half.

Tactical Story

ROSTER GALLOS shot a solid percentage from the field and made 11 three-pointers, which stretched the Escuderos defense and opened driving lanes. They also forced 15 turnovers and converted several of them into easy points. Escuderos de Jalisco, by contrast, made only 7 of 28 attempts from beyond the arc and had trouble keeping the hosts off the offensive boards.

The rebounding margin and turnover battle told the story. ROSTER GALLOS won the second-chance points category comfortably and were able to run when Escuderos missed long jumpers. In a league where home teams thrive on momentum, that combination was enough to turn a close game into a double-digit win.

What It Means

The result gives ROSTER GALLOS a valuable home victory and a confidence boost in CIBAPAC play. Escuderos de Jalisco will need better perimeter shooting and cleaner possessions on the road, but they showed enough half-court execution to suggest they can bounce back quickly.
