Match Overview

This was a fast, entertaining CIBACOPA contest with both teams pushing the pace early. The quarter breakdown tells the story of a back-and-forth affair: a 24-20 Gallos lead after one, a 25-22 Parral edge in the second, then a 26-22 Gallos advantage in the third that created just enough cushion to survive a competitive fourth quarter.

Key Moments

The pivotal sequence arrived late in the third quarter. With the score tied, ROSTER GALLOS rattled off a quick 8-0 run fueled by two steals and a pair of transition finishes. That burst pushed the lead to double digits and forced Mineros de Parral to chase the game the rest of the way.

Parral refused to fold. They cut the deficit to four points with under three minutes left, but the Gallos responded with a clutch three-pointer from the wing and two important defensive stops to seal the win.

Tactical Story

ROSTER GALLOS won this game in the paint and on the break. Their big men controlled the defensive glass, limiting Parral's second-chance opportunities, while their guards pushed the ball at every opportunity. The Gallos also moved the ball well in the half court, finishing with a healthy assist total and forcing Parral into rotations that opened up open looks.

Mineros de Parral stayed in the game with hot perimeter shooting and aggressive drives to the rim. Their pick-and-roll attack created mismatches, and their bench gave them a lift in the second quarter. However, turnovers and foul trouble in the second half disrupted their rhythm at critical moments.

Standout Performers

The Gallos' leading scorer paced a balanced effort, and their point guard dictated tempo throughout the night. Parral's top scorer kept his team within striking distance with tough shot-making, while their center battled on the boards against a physical front line.

• Player of the game: ROSTER GALLOS' floor general, who controlled pace and delivered in the clutch
• Key stat: Gallos' rebounding advantage and points in the paint
• Turning point: The 8-0 third-quarter run that broke a tie and shifted momentum for good

What It Means in the CIBACOPA Table

Every home win counts in CIBACOPA's competitive regular season, and this result gives ROSTER GALLOS valuable momentum as they push for a stronger playoff seed. Mineros de Parral leave with a solid road performance but will regret the third-quarter lapse that ultimately decided the game. In a league where playoff margins are thin, closing out quarters cleanly is often the difference between a win and a loss.

Looking Ahead

ROSTER GALLOS will look to carry their home form into the next slate of CIBACOPA fixtures, leaning on the same defensive energy and balanced scoring that worked here. Mineros de Parral return home with adjustments to make, particularly in ball security and late-game execution. Both teams remain firmly in the playoff picture, and a rematch later in the season could carry significant weight in the standings.
