The one-point final score reflects just how tight the contest was: neither team led by more than a handful of points for long, and every offensive possession in the fourth quarter carried extra weight.

For Anahuac Norte, the win is the kind that can shape a season. It required patience, defensive discipline and poise at the free-throw line. For Tec Mty Guadalajara W, it was a frustrating result in a game it controlled for three quarters but could not close out. The final margin also gives Anahuac Norte a valuable head-to-head result should the two teams finish near each other in the Mexico ABE League Women standings.

Tec Mty Guadalajara W set the tone early with a more efficient first half, using interior scoring and second-chance opportunities to build a small cushion.
