Tec Mty Santa Fe delivered one of the most emphatic road performances of the Mexico ABE League season, dismantling Tec Mty Guadalajara 91-51. A forty-point margin away from home speaks to a complete performance at both ends, with the visitors controlling the game from the opening quarter onward.

Match Overview

The tone was set early. Tec Mty Santa Fe opened with an aggressive defensive approach, pressuring the ball handler and closing passing lanes, and Guadalajara struggled to find rhythm against it. The hosts managed just 51 points across the full forty minutes, a total that reflected both poor shooting and a shortage of clean looks.

By halftime the game was already trending decisively in Santa Fe's favor, and the third quarter removed any remaining doubt. Santa Fe's offense moved the ball sharply, generating open three-point attempts and layups in equal measure, while Guadalajara's attempts to respond with individual plays were met by a wall of help defense.

Key Moments

• First-quarter breakaway: Santa Fe closed the opening period on a run that turned an early tie into a double-digit lead.
• Second-quarter lockout: Guadalajara endured a long scoring drought as Santa Fe's rotations denied penetration and forced contested perimeter shots.
• Third-quarter knockout: The visitors opened the second half with a sustained burst, pushing the lead past twenty and effectively ending the contest.

Tactical Story

Santa Fe's defensive scheme was the defining feature of the night. They switched effectively on screens, kept Guadalajara's guards in front of them, and forced the hosts into late-clock situations. On the glass, Santa Fe's forwards controlled the defensive rebound, limiting second-chance points to a minimum.

Offensively, the visitors played with pace without becoming reckless. Ball movement created high-percentage looks, and bench contributions extended the lead even when the starters rested. Guadalajara, by contrast, leaned heavily on isolation play, and with shots not falling, their offense stalled for long stretches.

Standout Performers

Santa Fe's perimeter players dictated the flow, combining efficient shooting with the pressure defense that generated the game's biggest runs. Their leading scorer set the tone early, while the second unit maintained the standard once the game was in hand. Guadalajara's bright spots were limited, though a few hard-fought baskets inside showed resistance even as the scoreline widened.

Season Impact

For Tec Mty Santa Fe, the win is a statement of intent: a forty-point road victory signals a team capable of competing at the top of the Mexico ABE League table. The defensive numbers in particular — holding an opponent to 51 — will be a source of real confidence. Tec Mty Guadalajara, meanwhile, will need to reset quickly and address an offensive performance that never found a sustainable rhythm.
