Puebla delivered one of the most emphatic performances of the Mexico ABE League slate on October 24, 2026, routing Tec Mty Guadalajara 92-65 behind a fast-paced attack and a dominant second half.

From the opening minutes, Puebla looked intent on imposing its tempo. The home side pushed the ball in transition, attacked the rim early in possessions, and punished Tec Mty Guadalajara on the offensive glass. By the time the game reached halftime, Puebla had established a comfortable cushion, and the second half turned into a showcase of depth and ball movement. The 27-point final margin accurately reflected Puebla’s control over long stretches.

Match overview

Puebla’s offense was varied and efficient. The guards initiated well out of pick-and-roll actions, the wings spaced the floor effectively, and the interior players finished around the basket. Tec Mty Guadalajara had no easy answer for Puebla’s rhythm once the home side found its shooting touch. The visitors competed on the boards in the early stages but were eventually worn down by Puebla’s pace and repeated extra passes. Puebla’s defensive pressure also created turnovers that turned into quick points, further widening the gap.

Key moments

The decisive stretch arrived before halftime, when Puebla used a 15-2 run to break open what had been a reasonably close game. That burst featured transition layups, a corner three, and a pair of defensive stands that forced Tec Mty Guadalajara into rushed shots. Puebla carried that momentum into the third quarter, opening the second half with another scoring surge that pushed the lead beyond 20 points. Tec Mty Guadalajara never found a sustained response, and Puebla’s bench players closed the game with energy and discipline.

Tactical story

Puebla’s biggest advantage came from ball movement. The team consistently made the extra pass against Tec Mty Guadalajara’s rotations, creating open looks from beyond the arc and clean finishes inside. Defensively, Puebla compacted the paint and challenged the visitors to shoot over the top. Tec Mty Guadalajara had some success attacking individually, but the team’s offense became predictable as the game progressed. Puebla also won the rebounding battle, limiting second-chance opportunities and fueling its transition game.

Standout performers

Puebla’s backcourt set the tone with pace and decision-making, while the frontcourt controlled the glass and finished efficiently around the rim. The bench provided a significant spark, extending the lead and maintaining defensive intensity when the starters rested. For Tec Mty Guadalajara, there were isolated bright moments in transition and from the perimeter, but the team could not match Puebla’s collective execution. The visitors’ best player stretches came when they attacked the basket early, but those moments were too infrequent to change the result.

Standings and season impact

The 92-65 win is a statement result for Puebla in the Mexico ABE League, boosting both its record and its point differential. A victory of this size can be important in a competitive standings race, where tiebreakers often reward margin and defensive consistency. For Tec Mty Guadalajara, the loss highlights areas to address: transition defense, rebounding discipline, and half-court shot selection. Puebla, meanwhile, will look to build on a performance that showcased its depth and offensive ceiling.
