KK Kozuv secured a 90-81 home win over Euro Nickel in the Macedonian First League on October 26, 2026, using a decisive third-quarter run to take control of a game that had been tight for 20 minutes. Kozuv's perimeter shooting and rebounding proved the difference as they pulled away in the second half.

Match overview

The first half was played at a high tempo, with both teams trading baskets. Kozuv held a narrow 22-21 lead after the first quarter and went into halftime ahead 44-42. Euro Nickel stayed within striking distance thanks to efficient inside scoring, but Kozuv's defense tightened after the break. A 26-17 third-quarter advantage gave the home side a 70-59 cushion, and they managed the final period well enough to keep Euro Nickel at arm's length.

Key moments

The third quarter was the turning point. Kozuv opened the second half with a 9-2 run, forcing Euro Nickel into two early turnovers and a timeout. Stefan Trajković hit two three-pointers during the stretch, and Aleksandar Mitrev controlled the boards, giving Kozuv extra possessions. Euro Nickel cut the lead to seven points late in the fourth quarter, but Kozuv responded with a 6-0 run to seal the win.

Tactical story

Kozuv's game plan revolved around ball movement and three-point shooting. They finished with 12 made three-pointers and consistently found open shooters against Euro Nickel's help defense. Euro Nickel tried to counter with a physical inside game, but Kozuv's rebounding edge limited second-chance opportunities. The home side also forced 15 turnovers, turning defense into quick offense when it mattered most.

• Aleksandar Mitrev (KK Kozuv): 18 points and 11 rebounds, dominating the paint.
