Fulgor Libertas Forli Overpower Real Sebastiani Rieti 93-71

Fulgor Libertas Forli produced a dominant offensive display to defeat Real Sebastiani Rieti 93-71 in Lega Nazionale Pallacanestro Serie A2 on October 19, 2026. Forli started fast, controlled the tempo and never let Rieti settle into the game, securing a convincing home victory behind balanced scoring and aggressive defense.

Match Overview

Forli opened with a 25-17 first quarter and extended the lead with a 23-18 second period, taking a 48-35 advantage into halftime. The hosts kept their foot on the gas in the third quarter, outscoring Rieti 22-19, before closing with a 23-17 final frame. The 93-71 final score reflected Forli’s efficiency from beyond the arc and their ability to convert Rieti turnovers into quick points.

Rieti struggled to contain Forli’s ball movement in the first half. The visitors attempted to switch defenses and slow the pace, but Forli’s shooters found rhythm early and forced Rieti to chase the game. The second half offered little relief, as Forli’s bench maintained the energy and extended the lead.

Key Moments

• Forli opened the game with a 12-2 run and never trailed after the first three minutes.
• A 9-0 second-quarter surge pushed the lead to 38-21 and forced a Rieti timeout.
• Forli hit three consecutive three-pointers early in the third quarter to extend the margin to 21 points.
• The hosts’ bench closed the third quarter with a 7-2 run to take a 70-54 lead into the final period.

Tactical Story

Forli’s offensive spacing and ball movement were too much for Rieti. The hosts generated open three-point looks through drive-and-kick action and quick ball reversals, and they punished Rieti’s help defense with timely cuts to the rim. Forli’s transition offense was especially effective, turning defensive rebounds and steals into easy baskets.

Defensively, Forli pressured Rieti’s ball handlers and forced a high number of contested shots. Rieti found some success inside early but could not sustain it once Forli adjusted their help rotations. Forli’s rebounding advantage and lower turnover count gave them a decisive edge in possessions, which proved too much for Rieti to overcome.

Standout Players

Marco Bellini led Fulgor Libertas Forli with 20 points, including four three-pointers, while Giacomo Fabbri added 17 points and six assists. Center Luca Rinaldi contributed 13 points and nine rebounds, anchoring the paint on both ends. Real Sebastiani Rieti was led by Alessandro Pace with 18 points and Matteo Bruni with 14, but the visitors lacked the defensive consistency to stay in touch.

Season Impact

The win gives Fulgor Libertas Forli an important home victory in the Serie A2 standings and reinforces their reputation as one of the league’s more dangerous offensive teams. Real Sebastiani Rieti will need to address their perimeter defense and turnover issues after a difficult road outing. Forli’s depth and shooting make them a team to watch as the Serie A2 playoff race continues to develop.
