Tactical Story

Fortitudo Bologna exploited Ruvo Di Puglia’s pick-and-roll coverage by attacking the paint and kicking out to open shooters. Their guards consistently beat their defenders off the dribble, drawing help and creating open looks from beyond the arc. Defensively, Bologna switched aggressively and limited Ruvo’s interior touches. Ruvo’s zone defense slowed the game briefly, but Fortitudo’s offensive rebounding and patient passing dismantled it. The hosts finished with 22 assists and 12 made three-pointers, a reflection of their unselfish play.

Ruvo Di Puglia’s top scorer managed 18 points, but he received little support as Bologna’s defense keyed on him. Fortitudo’s bench contributed 34 points, highlighting the depth that makes them a dangerous Serie A2 side.

Serie A2 Impact

The victory strengthens Fortitudo Bologna’s position in the Serie A2 standings and adds a valuable point differential to their season record. For Ruvo Di Puglia, the loss is a tough lesson against one of the league’s most storied clubs. The head-to-head result gives Bologna an early edge, and their form suggests they will be a team to watch in the promotion race. Ruvo will need to improve their half-court defense and rebounding before the next round.
